    @Front_Range_Pro Mind sharing these details?

I'm wondering if the OEM USB isn't providing enough Amps to the charger? Would using a "fuse-tap" or similar (12v to USB adapter) be better, let's say it can supply over 2-3A vs the OEM USB?

Pixel 7 might charge slower on a non pixel stand but the EEF charger was much, much slower.

My Pixel 7 Pro, case free, would charge at the following speeds when streaming music via Android Auto:

    EEF Charger: 1 watt ish
Factory Wireless Charger: 5 watts ish

The EEF charger was much easier to get to charge consistently but charged so much slower than the factory charger that I put the factory charger back in because it would charge much faster and added more charge even though it disconnects regularly.

My EEF charged at the same speed when powered via the following:
    Factory USB
    Quick charge 3.0 USB Charger
    PD 30 Watt charger.

Any idea if the EEF V2 or the EEF dual will charge any faster than the V1? I like how consistently it charged but wouldn't deal with the speed.

For info, EEF sent me a 2nd Unit to try and the speed was exactly the same.

I really appreciate this information, I thought I was going crazy, but I guess I'm not alone, I had the same issues with my Pixel 7 Pro, when using the Factory Charger it would charge good, until it would disconnect... most of the time, which is the big reason I got this charger, but it barely charges the phone on a 2-3hr drive, screen off, but Android Auto running, so to me, useless :(.

So, bottom line, the EEF Charger is not outputting the minimum 5W it states for the Pixel? Wonder if we could do anything to the phone to make it any better... Or an update to the charger to output the 5W as stated? Pretty sure it charges my work phone (Galaxy S20) perfectly fine for the few times I tried it.

I see you've added this in your original post, there's "slower charge speeds" vs barely any charging at all. Maybe should do more testing with Pixel devices? I'm willing to help out where I can, but at this rate, I may need to find another solution, or revert back to factory like @rohmbd

Oof, as a Pixel 7 user myself (wife as well)
Oof, as a Pixel 7 pro user (wife as well), I've been holding out for the dual charger (with OEM plug) option. Hoping this is something that can be fixed/addressed, but might be time to explore alternatives as well...thanks for the info!

Update to my post, I have this wireless charger in my other vehicle which does not have Android Auto, and it was able to charge my Pixel 7 Pro about 2% on a 25min drive, and this was with the screen on while running Waze and music streaming.

@Front_Range_Pro we need your help to figure out why your charger can't charge, at the very minimum Pixel Phones, let alone keep the phone at a steady charge when using Android Auto in the Tundra. What is your return/exchange/warranty policy... this is not something I had signed up for unfortunately...

I’m sorry you seem to be having problems with the charger. As a personal aside, I am just a brand ambassador and not an employee of EEF. That said, I still have been forwarding concerns regarding the Pixel phones and reported charging deficiencies over to them and trying to expedite solutions where possible and within my scope.

Just looking at your response, you are having charging issues with other charging devices as well. EEF chargers are all tested using benchmark testing standards that does not include third party testing applications or native manufacturer dependent conditions. In short, they use a separate dedicated electronic testing equipment to verify performance levels of the charging unit prior to being shipped, and not an app that typically only verifies what the phone is accepting from the charger. Upon hearing about the first issue with Google Pixel phones, I forwarded those concerns directly to EEF and received this response from them:

“Subsequent random unit testing was done and no faults were identified as being defective and the units were performing as designed.”

I have also asked my EEF contact about any communication they may have had with you to see what I can do as a brand ambassador to further assist you. I was advised that they haven’t received any communication from you outside the original order that was place in Feb 2023.

I have verified that EEF has a clearly stated returns policy posted in their site. EEF directs all questions and concerns to their Store Policies and contacts pages. If you have any questions, need technical support, or wish to initiate a claims process, they require you reach out to them directly as EEF does not actively monitor consumer forums.

All that aside....How's the Dual charger coming!? The majority of the world has iPhones and doesn't give a dogs' fart about those pixel owners!!!!

Thanks, I'll reach out to them... Not that I'm super confident of their answer :/

    As for your comment
I don't have any issues with other charging devices, they are charging at what I would expect them to be for a non-google/Pixel chargers, about 10% per hour if my math is right. The EEF chargers is barely charging at 1% an hour, so something is definitely not working.

    And for the EEF comments
Sorry, but if they would be working as designed, they would be charging at more than 1% an hour, if that, and, I'm not the only one as per @rohmbd post...

I actually just met with the owner today and discussed at length possible issues and even random tested multiple phones using v1 and v2 chargers. Average power output was well above minimum advertised levels with no test running anywhere close to minimum.

@rohmbd also has a pixel phone. Pixels have been widely panned for their wireless charging inconsistencies and issues. Other things that affect charging speeds include number of open/active apps, active location services, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi/hotspot connections, power source output, age of phone, and current battery levels (faster charging speeds are usually occur when remaining battery is between 50-70%).

I’m not aware of any iPhone or android users having anything close to the levels of issues you are experiencing. Also keep in mind that if the charger was not installed in the proper place, you may only be charging off one coil instead of all three.

If you could provide power output measurements from the charger itself (not via the phone or phone app) that would be extremely helpful as well as pictures of placement, I can at least look at it and see if I can help from my end. That said if you haven’t contacted EEF, then they aren’t aware of the issue. You at least have to give them the opportunity to help you. Even though I know the owner, the company wont be able to troubleshoot without any kind of actionable intel.

Nice. I installed the EEF single unit and it has proven far better than the factory charger. Definitely gonna upgrade to the dual once available. Thanks all!

It figures..I literally Just installed my early purchase unit. (I stopped a while back as i followed the video from EEF on removing shifter..which was not the way it popped off but noticed forum member short vid which made it easy).

Anxious to hear how others like the new dual. Was hoping it charged my 14 pro better than OEM with a bigger protective case but realized a good chance the new unit would not stay connected either.

Does well with a different everyday carry case. Will do a timed charge test later.

    Update

Did a few timed tests on the single plate charger on a Plat that came with the wireless charger. Honestly not sure its what i expected. With a 14 Pro max set on it the phone maintained the charge of 65 % and went to 66% briefly but never reach anything above that. And yes the the coils were centered as needed etc. The phone seems to connect fine and pretty quickly.
If you are happy with just holding a charge this is fine I guess. I just know when using same USB outlet that this uses the 14 Pro would charge to 100% on a not so long ride. So i may just let a passenger use this spot and i get another cord to plug my phone via center console type C connection.

Maybe later models work better but its not just Pixels with issues.

I really need to reach out to EEF to get their input, the charger, for me, is useless as it doesn't charge my phone at all (Pixel 7 Pro). I'd say, reach out to EEF to get their input as well.

I've said it before, even the cheap 20-30$ wireless charger from Amazon charges my phone quicker, so something is not correct.

I can imagine your frustration. In my case just not sure anything can be adjusted or done. Pretty straight forward install so not really any tweaking to be done I would imagine. Admit in hindsight thought maybe the latest gen Iphones might not work as the 12 they show on the vid. I did catch that until 2 days ago when looking at the vid (the music made me nuts, lol!) and the unit has been in original box two months.
(Of course just told wife about the issue and she laughed as she has a 12 , non pro and says the OEM charger maintains her charge as well, so this may actually work on the older models!! ) uhgg.

Same for me....charged always but only maintained my P7P and didn't raise the battery level.. The factory charger actually adds charge even though it stops charging regularly.

I thought that the EEF worked well with iPhones.

Looking forward to EEF dual charger for Pixel 5 and 7: Picked up the truck last week of May, factory charger does not connect to Pixel, IPhone 11 so far... Dual is an upgrade, single feels like a fix which just ticks me off with Toyota. So, a little nuance. People buy Google and Apple phones for same reason they buy Toyota. Quality - These are phones designed by the same people that designed the software so one can presume that would work the best. ie, One would expect they would serve as a standard working test even if there's a recognized Qi standard. Sounds like Pixel came out of their lane for charging. At this point, I'd be satisfied if it stayed connected and maintained but that might just heat up the phone as well. Anyway, wanted to be encouraging to EEF!
