    Valentines weekend trip:

First real trip with the Tundra and oh man was it awesome!
Packed Thursday and loaded up Friday after work. About an hour before leaving our friend who was going to watch our dog bailed, so we ended up taking him with us. Glad we did even though it was a lot more work at the hot springs. Anyways Friday we hit the road and made our way to Vegas for the night
    47BDD5B7-E154-4A6A-87E8-E98F0DCC0B42.jpg

Did a little gambling, but no luck, we just paid our “admission” for having some fun :)

Woke up Saturday and hit the road for the Grand Canyon deer farm. The staff were kind enough to watch our dog for us and by the time we left said we can only come back if we bring him haha. Glad he was a good boy for them! Rain was on the forecast but we got lucky, it started to snow! Was absolutely incredible!

Not only the first time the Tundra has been to the snow, but first time Moose (our dog) has been to the snow (he loved it!)

From here we left for our camp spot that was a few hours away to get us closer to our hike the next day. Meet up with @tundra_20 for this part of the trip.

Woke up by the water, packed, and headed to Ringbolt Hot Springs for a long hike to an awesome destination.

Moose couldn’t resist swimming in the lake haha

So we made our way to the trail

And got to the hot springs!

It was awesome! Nice hot water and very relaxing (minus choosing a busy day).
So worth the hike and the extra weight to carry a cooler with ice cold beer

After this we trekked it home. We were all still adventurous so we did the Primm to Baker 15 bypass. Bre and I got lost last time haha so after our last attempt I mapped it out (smart move) and this time we found it.
Passed a ton of traffic and had the sunset not on the highway. Perfect detour! Even saw some wild burros :D

Aired up, finished the drive home, made it back at 11 and now I’m sitting outside my work typing this up totally exhausted haha. Worth it!

Picked up a set of used headlights in decent shape for $50 to try my hand at retrofitting them. This will be my first time working with Permasealed headlights, so hopefully it goes well. If not I’ll save for some new OEM led headlights

Hey Mike, how do the 5100s ride and what notch did you put the fronts on? I was going to do 6112s but they are non existent. Thinking I might do the 5100s for now.

He's got them in the middle clip. 6112s are out of stock everywhere?

What @Drainbung said. Middle clip. @tundra_20 is on the top clip.

Both trucks ride really well. Mine came on the middle clip, had I had the option id probably go top clip, but no issues on middle and rides well.

Yep no 6112s for months. Wheelers said they have 54 people on the waiting list who have ordered.

Thanks, I'm not sure if I'll wait for the 6112's or go with 5100's but I've got time to decide.

I'm looking at the same thing, I'm not going down the rabbit hole like the Tacoma....bullshit, here we go again.

Just got the call that the Tundra is healed! Picking it up Friday, stoked. The transmission cooler kit is already on the parts shelf let the hijinx begin...

I’m just twiddling my thumbs waiting on my sliders :playball:

Once those are paid down going to focus on suspension.
Thinking MCM UCAs and heavily considering Bilstein 8112 for coilovers.
    Rear suspension is undecided.

How long for your sliders? Hopefully the suspension shortage/backlog clears up quickly.

I have the 6112s on the Tacoma and really like the ride.

The 8112 are supposed to be great as they’re an internal bypass coilover. And I’ve always been pleased with Bilstein.

I think the lead time was 6-9 weeks from time of order. I haven’t heard anything as far as an update.

Sounds good on the 8112s, I think that's the route I'll go.

Shouldn't be too much longer for the sliders then :fingerscrossed:.

I have the RCI sliders and full skids on the FJ. But on the Tundra only the Engine skid. The RCI products have been great so far no complaints

Lol! Other people look closely at trucks and pick up on tiny changes in, say, tire tread , and I’m over here zooming in on your profile, going, ‘hey, wait a minute’.

    Looks great!

I picked up "Stretch" DCLB last week, already jumped in with Carista to de-Nanny as much as possible. Trying to figure out suspension for the camper but I've been in touch with Matt at MCM and he's got some great input. BTW, I was ordering weather tech window shades on AA and your picture popped up as the guy wanting to help me. Hey, I know that guy...
