I live in my truck because I'm broke from modding it, so yes, allowed.

Someone eating something in my truck is not the end of the world. More serious things to think about. upload_2018-4-8_18-45-17.jpg

I try not food, but if the kids HAVE to eat something because we are in the run I keep a blanket in the back that I cover the seat with just in case. I can’t stand crumbs in the creases. As for drinking, water only.

I agree with “the beast”. Eating in the vehicle can be dangerous. I had a little one in the back choke on food when she was little. Let alone if food or beverage get on the seat belt, it’s never coming out.

Negative- we eat, at a table with forks and knives. Need a drink, be careful-beware if consequences when Spillage occurs. Weather tech mats have saved us from some questionable liquid spills and when we bring food on holidays to family’s. I recommend weather tech ( not to make this a marketing reply/forum for weather tech. )

Funny this thread came up again.

Yesterday the wife was cleaning out her 18’ Subaru and I about lost it. Suckers in the grab handles, color markers without lids on rolling around, trash, etc.

So at dinner I asked both of my kids what was allowed in the cars. Simple answer, water and tablets. So I enformed them I will be doing a weekly inspection of her SUV. I had my oldest look up how much a full detail costs (135.00) and two hours of either the wife’s or mine hourly wage at work and they would be splitting the cost.

I do not eat while driving, usually. It is allowed in the truck but who ever makes a mess gets to clean it up. Drinks are fine as long as lids are on them.

Originally I said no, 18000 miles later on occasion. Like today out fishing my boy and I will pack a lunch, and we are not going to eat in the rain. I just ask him or whom ever try not to mess up my truck too much if possible . No sloppy Joes though do not want to try and clean that with a shop vac. Personally I think smoking in the vehicle would be worse, though I chew tobacco in it, just remember to take out spit cup out.

Oh man the spit cup. Years ago me and girlfriend at the time wife now, we're out wheeling and hit a big bump that spitter flew out and all over her. As soon as said sweet none on the truck she straight rocked my jaw I heard it pop. Felt so bad for laughing.

Just the two of us left, after extensive training, & the threat of a water only ban, she does clean up after herself. I don't have the same cappuccino colored upholstery as she now has in my old 2012 Camry(Pristine when it was given to her.). What I have a problem with is she braces her foot against the dash & leaves dirty foot prints on the dash. Solution, a package of baby wipes & the threat of being completely banned if she doesn't take care of them. I do like the 'Pay for the next detail' better.

Are we talking feet on the dash, knees towards the chest? You could just tell her that if you get into an accident her airbag is going to fold her like a cheap lawn chair. On a related note... No food or drink, other than water in my truck. I shudder every time I clean up my wife's Subaru. How does one person get their interior so disgustingly dirty that you literally have to use a scotchbright sponge to clean the steering wheel? It baffles me. At least I got her to quit putting on makeup in the car, that crap doesn't come off easy.

Hmm, have to keep an eye on baby wipes.

Snipe, Before I got married, I thought women were neater / cleaner than men. News flash, NOT SO!! If I need to ride in her car I have to give her 30 minutes notice so she can empty the passenger seat. Forget even seeing the back seat, or heaven forbid I should want to put something in the trunk. Been married 37 years, it still baffles me how that doesn't make her crazy.

I eat/drink in my truck. I also clean it. If my teen boys are with me, we usually eat in the truck, but throw our trash out immediately when were finished.

Only I am allowed to eat in the truck and even then I rarely eat in the truck. Drinks with lids are allowed. We stop and eat if on the road or take it home. During hunting season all that goes out the window but she gets thuroughly detailed afterwards.

I usually say no to food. However in the past 2 weeks I've hit a deer, yesterday I was pulling in to sons baseball tournament and took a foul ball to rear driver side door. (I always park in the back 40). So at this point I've about decided to stop caring so I don't get so Fu@#ing Pissed when something does happen. I vacuum and wipe the seats down weekly and the back of the truck is covered in ball field dust the very next day. So I say eat what ever you want and use the console lid for a table. No plates or napkins. I'm done.
