For the SR model which does not come equipped with stock fog switch...you do not need one for this mod (just get a relay). Foglights will switch on depending how you wire it (either to DRL relay ground or aftermarket switch to ground.

I want to add fog lamps to my 2014 SR. I have the wiring behind the lights in the bumper but I don’t have the switch on my turn signal stalk. I am frankly not interested in changing out the stalk since it looks complicated. I want the fogs on whenever I have my parking lights on (when tail lights are on but not headlights) and when my headlights are on. I found this thread and I think all I have to do is buy the lights/bezels, a fog light relay, and a 15amp fuse. Do I simply have to install the lights, hook up the connectors behind the bumper, install the fog light fuse, bend the relay tab, install the relay, and ground the relay bent tab? Sounds too simple LOL

Yes except you'll run it to a switch since you dont have the SR5 stock stalk (haha)

Why do I need a switch inside the cab if I want the fogs on all the time (except when the lights are in the off position)?

Oops. Tap into your marker light power then ground the relay

So I don’t need to buy a dedicated fog light relay to use the existing fog light wiring?

If your rig came with fogs, no. The mod takes places on your factory relay

I just have the wiring harness for the fogs. I was referring to your comment about tapping into the marker light power. Did you mean the marker light relay?

I assume the fog wiring harness gets power from the fog relay, so if you don’t have a fog relay installed you’ll need to put one in them do the mod I linked to above.

Marker light power wire. Find where it's hot and posi-tap it (hate scotch loks). Yes to the fog light relay in the harness if you didnt originally have them. The fog relay will be connected to your 12v power source.

OK. I think I got it now. Sorry for all the questions. Here’s how I understand it. All I need to do is install the fog lights, install a fog light relay, and ground one of the tabs on the relay. This will make the fogs come on with the parking lights and headlights but will not come on when my light switch is in the off position.

Looked in the fuse box and there is no receptacle for the fog light relay (circled red in picture). Where does the other end of the factory fog wiring harness go then if there is no relay receptacle?

Thanks, I'm gonna try this with my 2020!

As far as the fog lights going out when high beams are on... Whatever. If the high beams are on, the fog lights aren't gonna help you see shit!

Fogs help to see far out to the sides which is important especially when making tight turns at night. The only drawback is some people's eyes adjust only to the brighter high beams which limits what they see close up but not everyone has that problem.

Just looking out but get rid of those exposed terminals. If any of those touch anything you're gonna have alot of problems probably. I used the plastic insulated ones to do mine. Just a small heads up.

I never was able to get an answer so I jerry rigged my fog lights directly to the battery and mounted the switch in a blank panel. Yes, I have to remember to turn off the lights when I park and leave the truck but the install was a helluva lot easier that way. The switch indicator light is bright red and hard to miss when I slide out of the truck.

What needs to be done for the 2019s to keep fogs on with high beams? Seems like a poster above did this mod on his '19, and ended up with no fogs with high beams.

Same here as I would like to have my fogs on with the high beams. I did try this mod but I had the fogs on all the time after turning my truck off. So I would drain my battery with the lights on while the truck is not in use.

This end up working on the 2020? fogs with DRL's and low beams?

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I attempted this a few minutes ago and I couldn't get my Fog lights to fire up.

Maybe it's because my truck is an SR (2021) that didn't come with lights, and doesn't have a switch on the lever?

I wasn't sure this would make a different though, because if I connect my fog light relay as described in the original post, they come on (and stay on all the time...even when the truck is off, as described by other newer truck owners).

Any thoughts? If so, please be sure to describe it to me as if I was around 4-years old. :)

    Thanks!

To follow up on my post just above this. I ended up wiring them up like described in this quoted post (to the headlight relay). I couldn't get them to work on my 2021 SR (came without fogs or switch) otherwise.

    Thanks for posting this.

Is there a mod where I can independently control my fog lights instead of it being on all the time? Like only when I turn it on regardless of high or low beam, any ideas?

My headlight multi switch is partially broke. The headlight part will not turn but my fog lights switch works, is there a way i can do this same setup but instead of using the fog light relay, can i use the headlight relay where when i turn the fog lights on then the headlights turn on also?? 07 limited thanks!!

I wonder this too. Like a switch(not the stalk) that has ability to turn on/off as you please whether drl/hi/low beam.
