I should start a service. I’m 3000 miles away from my truck anyone who has made a jumper measure a distance for me so I know if I have the right length please!

Just to confirm, this is whats in my head.

I would only need to run one wire from the relay into the cab through the firewall grommet. I would run that wire to a switch and I would run a wire from the other side of the switch to the ground near the kick panel. Then the ground to the relay would be controlled by the switch, therefore controlling the fogs.

You're fine, there will be plenty of extra, the rigid's have probably another 6" of wire, plus the slack in the factory fog light wiring.

Little bit of a pain, but for some reason its easier on an sr5. For a platinum you have to drill so im assuming the bumper is different. They are bright as hell.

Fogs and lows no need for highs when those go on.

Did this mod today. Exactly as explained in the first post.
    -Pulled the relay
    -Folded the one terminal over.

    But then...
-I ran the ground wire into the cab.
-Installed a fog switch in one of the blanks.
-Connected the other side of the switch to the ground right near the column.
-Then I connected the illumination ground to the same ground.
-I tapped into the pink wire on the rear window switch, this is the illumination wire for that switch.

Everything works perfect and now that switch has independent control over the fogs. I got the switch on Amazon, popped right in and looks factory.

when you turn on the truck, the daytime running lights come on. Do the fogs kick on at that point? or untill you turn the light switch to parking lights?

@fisherman951 , the way I did the mod or the original way of grounding out the relay that @xtyfighterx did?

How I have it setup I have complete control over the fogs now with the stand alone switch.
-Turn on the truck with light switch off, fogs will not come on with my switch.
-Turn the switch up to the parking lights, fog works.
-Turn the low beams on, fogs work.
    -High beams, fogs work.

Is there any way to do this so the lights will come on when the parking lights are on, but they automatically turn off with high beams? Reason I ask is because of the vehicle safety inspection in VA will fail you for fogs that stay on with high beams.

You could always just take the fuse out and put a new one in for inspection making it go back to factory then put your anytime fuse back in after you pass

Not trying to take anything from Roman, but you can pick up a relay from your local Autozome. Duralast Relay, part number: 20382 which is a replacement for the Denso
