Going old school eh! I believe you're better off with iPads, download any content you want for longer hauls or tether to truck or phone. Kids can watch or play whatever they want. You can also buy sleeves to hang over headrests so they can watch handsfree.

I have Rockville 9" ones. I the gray doesn't come close to a gray. Tan/gray I guess. In our sequoia we have Rockville 7" ones in black, we had black leather seats installed, looks perfect. Rockville is a great brand. No issues in last 5 yrs of having them

Can get some Amazon fire tablets, little cheaper option. Both my kids got them for xmas. Even dropped many times, no scratches or dents.

Hey Frank, I was wondering about these specific Rockville headrests. The specs say 12.4” wide but I measured the width for the headrest to be 10”. Spacing between those raised (bumps) on top of the seat. I was considering going for the 7” instead of the 9 but would like to maximize the viewing.

    How are they holding up?

    Thank you!

The Rockville headrests have been the best purchase by far for our sequoia and tundra. 7" in our sequoia and the 9" ones for the tundra. The 9" ones sit a little higher due to the hump on the seat back, I can push them down flush, but they eventually rise back up. We've had the 7" ones in our sequoia for over 5 years. Kids love them.

We traded our sequoia in 3 months ago for a new one and I grabbed some cheap touch ones that mount to the headrest poles. Not sure the brand. But I hate them! They're very slow, the dvds wont play, or the game discs don't work in them either. It was a hurry up and buy before our trip to NC off of craigslist. I'm going back to Rockville ones.

I purchased 2 - Eonon 11.6 inch screen DVD players off Amazon that mount to the headrest post.. I have the trd pro and wanted to keep the original headrest I have used them for a couple weeks so don’t have report of longevity but they work great so far... I had them hardwired and they look great.

I have installed dvd headrest in the past in my Subaru.. they were black leather replacement headrest.. matched great but the sound sucked..

I have some in my Audi that match the cinnamon color leather but they hand on post as well. They seem to work good, sound is better than the black set

I will post a pic of my tundra headrest in just a bit for you to see how they look

You’re the best, thank you!!. Didn’t want to see them looking to out of place. If they rise up and don’t match I guess the extra width isn’t worth it. Happy to hear about the quality as well. Reviews from places like Amazon are hard but when they are 50% bad you can’t fully rule out user error.

They both have a DVD player built in on the top and they can also watch the same video by switching input on one of the TVs

I have devoted waaaay to much time to my kids entertainment. These add another level of difficulty to the decision. I’d really like to Amazon prime the 9” built in and return if they don’t look right but they are coming from Hong Kong.

A funny side note is the first thing I did to my new tundra was change out the interior bulbs. Seeing your picture I wondered if you had thought of doing it.

Here are all the inputs on the side of the TVs.
HDMI,USB, memory card, headphone, and av in/out, power (in case you use the cigarette charger instead of hardwire them)

I’d rather not list. My wife might see it.
Check NSV Auto. They are local to me and Jensen of NSV showed me some pretty sweet looking screens installed in their company truck. I suggest calling them to check for better than online pricing.

I hardwired mine in my Subaru and it was pretty easy. I was getting tint done at the local audio shop and just had them hardwire them for me. Cost me $90 for install so I just had them do it The tundra seats have zippers so it would be easy to run the wires through the seats and the headrest come out easy as well I wouldn’t think it would be that hard to tap into power from the 12v in the center console

Man, I read you couldn’t hook up a Nintendo classic mini to a double din as the aspect ratios were way off. Is that a mini? anything special to install?

It's actually a raspberry pi zero that I built into an old Nintendo cartridge. Just needed an hdmi to a/v converter and wire harness for stock radio that allows you to hook up anything you want.

Look at this on eBay https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/153341769952
