need new tires and these two are what I'm think for driving here in Colorado (snow/ice and crazy heavy downpours) I have read a few people saying at2 don't do good in the rain. Longer life of a tire would be nice but if I can get 40-50k I would be very happy. Is there any other I should be looking at?

Sounds like duratracs would be your best bet. Cooper makes some good tires as well, not sure how they perform in the snow though.

My toyo AT2's do GREAT in the rain, I don't get much (if any) snow where I'm at, but I heard AT's do great in snow also. Heavy snow, I'd say go with the duratracs. Seems to be a slightly better option from what I've read. Treadlife wont be as good as the toyo's though.

Seems like we can't have our cake and eat it too huh? Dang it!

I have ran several sets of AT2..no issues anywhere.

The Duratracs are pretty heavy and are hard to balance...FYI

Toyo's, I would run a set if they were not so expensive.

I had Duratracs on my Tacoma and they did really well.
Nutro Terra Grappler G2's did really well for me when I had them on this truck before the Coopers went on

Mine do too. But last week it was a swamp at this bridge I was working on. I was sweating it a little coming out of the muddy ground below it. I got out, but I think I'm going with a Cooper mud tire on my next set.

Yeah Duratracs would do better in mud and snow than AT's, that's no secret. But with what I do (trails and some mud every once in a while, more during hunting season) the rest is highway. AT's are how I like it uh huh

Damn, now I got that song in my head.

i had duratrac on my titan and they were wonderful in all weather conditions. as a bonus they look awesome and they were extremely quiet. i out 30k on them and they looked new. they were a 35, zero problems to balance. they are expensive though.

I had DTracs on my 09 Taco. Great all around tire and was my favorite until I got my Cooper STT Pros which have performed very well off road and on. I've only been able to use them in a little snow a couple of weekends ago. Maybe 2 to 3". Not enough to give a valid opinion on snow. I expect good snow traction with them.
