I was checking around a bunch of independent shops near me in IE SoCal and most places were asking around $400-$600 just to do the lowers and if I wanted to do the uppers and lowers together it was going to be close to $800.

I work at a high school that has autoshop and I usually have them install different parts (shocks/brakes ect...) and the instructor suggested a place up the boulevard from the HS because I wanted it done over the Christmas break and they quoted me just $170 for uppers and lowers. I ended up just having them do the uppers because I didn’t want to press it in myself and they only charged $70 for labor. I just replaced the lowers myself today and my 2000 Tundra feels so much better and my wallet liked it too.

Yeah it’s a “great place”! Lol. Born and raised in Redlands, but like some, always looking to get out of CA. My uncle was a SB county sheriff, captain up in Yucaipa. Retired and now moved out of the state too. Panhandle not a bad place to end up! My brother’s in-laws are building a place in Pensacola I believe.

Finally got the front lower BJs replaced, along with the tie rod bushings. Oh, and an alignment. Drives a whole lot better. Gotta save up for some tires now.
