Yeah, I think you're onto something with the censorship. Even distributed around, it would be hard to hide that many bodies, or required mass burial activity of that magnitude, from intel satellites. Now that I think about it, maybe the government has an exact body count but isn't sharing.

Well, there's "serious", as in sitting at home watching Netflix and running out of beer, and not getting close to anyone serious (Yes, there is severe illness, suffering, limited medical supplies in some areas...that's in progress. We're told that everything is being done that can be done. You believe them or you don't.) And then, there's "SERIOUS", as in armed National Guard and state police manning roadblocks on all roads out of infection hot spots. That is emergency-powers, martial law-appearing, ACLU-defying, Constitution suspending, emergency Supreme Court session to be told "Go F Yourself", SERIOUS!

 

I am thinking we are in process now from the first you suggest to the last.

My wife and I were thinking about going for a drive because gas is so cheap but there isn't much to see around here.

I believe the recommendation of masks only for the sick was so there would still be some left for healthcare workers and others who are being directly exposed to someone who's known to be sick.

 

Hi guys, I live in Queens, NYC - the epicenter of it all. Its been tough because of all the long lines, panic buying, and plain stupid people who refuse to social distance or stay home. On any nice warm day you'll still see people congregating in parks. Last night the media reported 50 deaths overnight due to the virus and its scary. The only times I venture out is just to get food and supplies. My neighbors and I are all keeping away from each other.

I think “most people” are responding to the requests of their state and local governments which is a good thing. We all just need to keep our heads, take care of our families and neighbors too if they need anything and to hold on. It will pass eventually I just hope the losses of life and businesses won’t be too great. Any life is too much so do your best to protect yourselves.

I could believe 4X the official count. China's population is 4X the US population. Our infection/death counts are still growing, but they've quit counting. And they're smart, but they're not 4X smarter or better at healthcare than us, or we wouldn't be in this predicament.

 

But they can and do tell people exactly what they can and will do and they will obey without question.

My wife is at home working since she's a school teacher and my daughter is at home as well. I am essential personnel at my work so I am still going and since I'm the one out I go to the stores for our needs. I have been taking my clothes off in the garage and straight to the shower once I get home. Just trying to be cautious the best I can. I will tell you I have never seen Home Depot and Lowes so packed, like not even a parking spot and the grocery stores are packed.

Like others have said does quarantine even work now? People have been out and about, and when is the end to this thing? You cant stay down forever and run the country into the ground. From all I read there is two ways we beat this herd immunity and a vaccine which seems like a year off. To me the only reason we have stay at home orders is to allow the hospitals time to prepare for what is inevitable and keep them from being overrun.

I work at lowes and it is fucking nuts here. People will come in wearing full masks and gloves just to browse some flowers and get some dirt. Plus they'll bring the whole family

Only those that are sick should be wearing masks and those people should be at home. I went the liquor store on Friday and they had plastic shields in front of registers. Not sure who they were trying to protect. The cashier had to come out from behind shield to process the transaction.

 

That's some crazy stuff! I kinda agree on the not going back to normal, at what point will it be deemed ok, so much unknown. I had to go by a shopping center today for something and business that were closed actually had there windows boarded up..guess they are expecting it to go bad.

 

Mass food shortages will add to the civil unrest. I follow food supply problems closely and its bad.
