So I've been thinking of changing out my stock exhaust to something different like a Magnaflow or Flowmaster. Only thin is i don't know if I should go single or dual out the sides. The last 2 types I had a performace exhaust was on my 2001 Jeep Cherokee (Super 44 Flowmaster) and my 2006 Dodge Ram (Super 40 Flowmaster) but I left those as single exhaust.

What do you guys think? Stock look or Dual it out.

I have a custom made dual in dual out Flowmaster setup. Nice but DirtyDeeds setups are the best way to go.

    Dirty Deeds BAMuffler single.

I don't have one due to funds, but if I had the funds, that would be my pick.

Dual, Flowmaster but might have wrong one on, don't feel low end torque anymore like when it was single might go with DDI

I've had two different set ups of duels but switched back to single from dirtydeeds and much better overall

I definitely want to get the TRD exhaust, but I'd also like to hear one in person first. There are videos on Youtube but it's still hard to get a measure of the real sound.

I vote single, unless you get a crossover pipe for the duels. Unless you’re running long tubes, or SC, single is sufficient and efficient.

Definitely talk to Keith @dirtydeeds first before you make a decision. Our trucks are engineered very well including the exhaust with the week point being the muffler. Without LT headers most dual systems will cost you low end torque and HP. A properly manufactured X-pipe will get some of it back but there will not be any HP gains if that is what you are looking for. If you are running a Supercharger the type of exhaust doesn't matter but if you are stock or even running a tune it best to stick with stock tubing and replace the muffler. Keith's system is the best of both worlds uses most of the stock tubing, customizable sound and you actually get a performance gain. I have two trucks one with Keith's system one without and I am totally sold on his system.

This is my primary reason for sticking with a single setup when the time comes to do the exhaust.

I have the TRD exhaust and enjoy it. I have not noticed any losses in performance. Its sounding better all the time, you can not hear it at idle, there is no drone when cruising but step on it and there is a very nice rumble.

My truck has the TRD system and I am purchasing a replacement from Keith Carty as it is not quite enough for me. For what you will pay for the TRD system, Keith can make you a better sounding and performing system based on what I've seen. He also recommends going with a single system if your truck in naturally aspirated. My truck came with the dual system (I'm N/A) so I went with the TRD replacement system which has an X-pipe and different mufflers.

What I don’t get is how shops can charge u $100-$160 for a dual in and single out even if I provide the muffler. Dang Seattle.

    Thanks for the mentions guys.

It’s easier to screw up a Tundra exhaust than it is to make it better.

Here at bamufflers we make every system to order. And it’s my job to get to know you, and customize the system to work best with your lifestyle. All for the same price as any of the big box brands

Please feel free for any help with your truck.
