    I just purchased a 2019 Platinum With the JBL sound system. First thing I noticed was that the sound quality was really low and awful. I tried playing with the settings but it did nothing. I had a sound system in the tundra I sold ( 2 10’s, Massive audio 4 channel amp, and DB speakers). I took everything out before I sold it and i recently installed it in the new truck but it didn’t fix the fact that the music wasn’t loud enough. I spliced the rear oem subwoofer for signal to an LC2i and then to my amp. I also had bought a DSR1 a while back but never got around to installing it because I didn’t know how to wire it properly.

    Question: I just purchased the aTO3 harness to go with my DSR1 to replace the factory amp but I don’t know how to wire it properly to the amp I have in order to get everything to play. Can anyone who’s hooked up their DSR1 give any input on how they did it step by step? I know it’s PNP, but do you have to run all new speaker wires to all of your speakers/subs from the DSR1 or do you use the RCA outputs that it comes with on it run to the amp?
    HU =>aTO3 harness => DSR1=> Amp(how?) =>speakers that’s where my understanding is currently at.

    Any advice or tips would help as I don’t know much about car audio. Thanks in advance!

    I'm assuming you are talking about JBL premium system? The DSR1 does not replace the factory AMP, it is an interface from the vehicle to replacement AMPs. The T03 harness feed the signal into the DSR, signal feeds into the AMP and passes back to the stock speaker wires through the harness. It's a little more complicated because you also have the LCi2 (no experience with this signal processor).

    The T03 harness wires are clearly labeled with in/out L/R/Sub (wires/RCAs). Hopefully someone smarter than me can guide you a little further.

    The challenge with the premium system is the stock AMP feeds the center channel, both left and right front tweeters, which means the front doors have 2 different line in.

    I’ll be removing the LC2i once I receive the harness because they are both signal processors from what I understand and I only need 1. I just don’t know how to wire them to the amp I currently have. Like you said though, i should be able to use the stock wire speakers but I don’t want to wire them incorrectly on the amp and have something not play. I appreciate the input!
