    I won't lie, if I could easily convert from drums to disc, I would in a heartbeat. I said as much to FGV in a side convo. The reality is, there's no great kits out there I could find, and I don't want to invest the energy or money into "figuring it out".

    Has anyone here done the t100 conversion & had it work on 4 wheel disc? I'd like to do the sequoia axle, but i know the sequoia had a larger MC piston. But i also wanna 4 link with watts linkage so i can run coil springs.

    The best engine ever was the windsor ford. 2v if you need 100-200hp 4v for 200-300hp 351 for 300-400hp 406 for 400-500. Siamesed ports become a problem with heat & cylinder pressure. The ls & lt chebbys are modern windsors. The ls427 is a world beater for 10k miles.

    Oh, I know the satisfaction of it -- and admittedly it can be quite rewarding. But I also know the satisfaction of a fuel injected engine that starts and runs perfectly every time, that's more efficient, makes more power, will last longer, and requires far less maintenance. I'm with @shifty` , if there was a simple, affordable drum-to-disk conversion I'd do it in a heartbeat -- mostly for the simplicity and reliability.

    Yup.

    But I also don’t romanticize about carb’d engines and non-computerized stuff. Sure, points are cute and an art form to get right but I’ll take HEI any day. Carbs are fun to tweak, but let’s be real: There are several model-specific hacks to get you 90% of the way dialed in, and it’s not set-and-forget, there’s some periodic tuning required. That’s cool if it’s your weekend warrior, it sucks when it’s your DD. I’ve been there and done that too many times. It would be aptly described as an art, and in the words of Cursive, “We all know art is hard”. Others would tell you it’s a nuisance, annoyance. Unless you really love mastering obscure shit.

    Don’t get me wrong, if someone handed me an old GM vehicle with a Muncie 4spd behind a 292 inline 6, I’d take it in a heartbeat. I’d upgrade it to HEI and a 2bbl STAT, just for secure starts and easier tubing than a monojet, but … if there was an easy and inexpensive EFI kit for it, I’d forego the BS and just install that.

    I’d love to have discs in rear on my truck. Drums are cool and all, but I still to this day need to pick up reference material every time I need to work on them. I’m sad nobody makes an easy kit. Even if it was $1k, I’d probably drop the coin on it, assuming I could keep my original axle housing and guts.

    Well said. I'm not against making things easier to maintain. I also don't throw in the towel when it's complicated or difficult. From what I've gathered in this thread, there's no easy or economical solution. The OP was in somewhat of a pickle, but probably has a good idea now of where to source replacement parts. I also have no desire to own a "Frankenstein" truck. If I would have seen that on my truck when I was looking to purchase, it would have been a hard pass. I had a pretty good idea of what I was getting into. If I would have desired disc brakes on the rear of my Tundra, I would have bought another 2nd Gen. That said, I'll keep mine well maintained, as long as parts are still available, as it came from the factory.

    Brute force bumpers/sliders, OME 3" lift, SCS ray 10 wheels, ARB onboard air compressor, GX460 big brake upgrade, JBA UCA's, siberian Bushings, RCV high clearance axles, 333 Billet steering rack clamp, TMR customs 10" front limit straps, 1" diff drop, agility customs dual battery setup/battery isolater with heavy duty wiring/ grounding cable upgrade, F-er battery tray, HFW spindle gussets, remote oil catch can,
    He just adjusted them when he was cotton swab cleaning his wheel cylinders.
