    Yep. I read that once. Plan all routes so that no lefts need to be made. Crazy that way. Also heard that at some airports, once most commercial flights are done (late at night), FedEx has their own tower crew to coordinate take offs and landings.

    The field expedient way to convert pounds to kilograms. Take the weight in pounds, divide in half, then subtract 10%. 200lbs divided in half equals 100, subtract 10%. 100 minus 10 equals 90kgs. BOOOOOM......Mind blown!

    I've struggled with that conversion forever. You have now become a demigod to me. If you can teach me how to convert miles to KM on the fly. I'd double down on my loyalty. :rofl:

    Miles to kilometers is adding roughly 60% to your number (1 mile =1.609km). Split 60% into 50% and 10% to make the math easier. It doesn't get you exact, but it's close enough for quick math. The larger the distance, the less accurate it gets.

    Ex:
    10 miles
    10+5(50%)+1(10%)=16km
    10x1.609=16.09km

    500 miles
    500+250(50%)+50(10%)=800km
    500x1.609=805km
