I purchased this truck in Nov 2019

It had a cheap bottom seat cover on it

I never took it off to look at it until now

I have Clazzio leather covers I’m wanting to install

Here’s what I found when I took the cover off

Has anyone else had their seat do this and how did you fix it?

I probably need to take the entire drivers seat out and inspect it,but it’s pouring rain now.

    Any input appreciated.

I have also attached a photo of the passenger seat for comparison

I know if I go ahead and put on the Clazzio with the seat being like this,it won’t be right!

I had that problem with my 07, I got a new foam cushion from the dealer and installed myself. Made it like new, truck was sitting at 200k in this photo. Side note I take extra care of my vehicles. 96223C3D-7B85-40DA-BA59-95B7A77080C5.jpg

I am guessing a new cushion will be in your future.

It looks like it's caught on a spring or something. See if it's hooked on something. It may have gotten caught when you were getting out at some point.

I’ll do some further inspection when the weather is better.

I only took the cheap bottom seat cover off and noticed this. That’s as far as I’ve gone!

May just be the black plastic (where the power controls are) has dropped down, pretty common. Try and push it back up.

The rain let up for a little bit.

    I took a closer look

Somebody has definitely been in there before

I see the clips for the power controls are broken

Also i see that the fabric “channel clips” are not even connected anywhere on that corner!

I also noticed that on the inside of the seat, facing the center console, the plastic trim cover for the side of the seat is missing as well!

I think once the weather is nice,I’ll pull the seat and fix it up. I was expecting the seat to have the same curve as the inner side, but it does not. It is flat.

I pulled down on the fabric and it went into shape similar to the passenger seat which faces the door.

I have also attached a photo of The passengers seat,to show that only the inside console side is “flared” a bit.

Yes I know my seats are dirty. I’ll clean them up and then install Clazzios!
