Driver side wiper issue above 60 mph

    It's odd that there are no grooves in the replacement arm. Are the teeth on the wiper pivot that sharp that they can cut new grooves in the wiper arm?

    The shop manual doesn't mention anything like that. Even the illustrations show grooves in the wiper arm.

    I did use a wire brush to remove the aluminum shavings the pivot serration removed from the old wiper arm. This ensured a clean fresh bite into the new arm.

    Definitely have to be a smart *** here but I’m glade your in the Netherlands and I’m in Cali , my first thought was 70 mph in the rain ??? Damn brother slow down !!! Lol

    The OP is in the Netherlands. Hah, you guys in CA are lucky if you can drive 70 in no rain with all that traffic. :p

    I live in the mountains , but yes the bigger cities here they hard pressed to exceed the speed limits in there Tesla’s let alone a real car or truck it’s rediculous

    I am happy with the results, and now I am wondering if / when the passenger side will start acting up because I also removed it for painting, but maybe this issue only affects the drivers side.

    Tighten it up till you strip it out then back it off a quarter turn !
