Well my lug nuts decided to say "fuck you" and I lost all 6 causing my tire go flying passed me while I was going 50mph. Already ordered slotted rotors and going to order fiberglass fenders tomorrow. We decided not to go with a big brake upgrade like the gx460 because I have zero complaints about the stock brakes. Thankfully, nobody else was involved, despite my tire bouncing across all 4 lanes, and all my suspension is untouched. It could have been way worse. The spacer held on like a champ though. Who knows if that was the issue. I've run spacers bigger than these for years with no issue. I think lugs came loose or someone tried stealing them. Who knows.

Glad to see you're okay after that mishap. I saw that you were running wheeler's superbumps and I was wondering how you liked them? I didn't see them in the picture of your suspension when the lugs gave out. Did you have and problems with them or problems because they're not made for first gens?

No, I still have the superbumps. I absolutely love them and recommend them to anyone. They soften out the front end well. I wonder if the drop of my wheel flying off would have been harder without them

Seriously, it was louder than it felt haha

Dude I love this truck. It's the perfect blend of luxury and toy. Its about the size of a second gen Tacoma but a v8 (and better looking ;)). The double cabs have a 6ft bed and rolling back window, the best of both worlds of the second gens. Downside is the minimal aftermarket as far as accessories, but it's enough to make a badass looking truck.

I forgot to update but it's driving! I'm not supposed to use the brakes hard (per ebc) for like 500 or so miles so I haven't really tested them. Although, I had to brake hard going 70 yesterday and really braced myself to hit someone cutting me off. I stopped with room to spare, so I'm impressed.
    41711.jpg IMG_20190402_134829.jpg
Made a call to ADS and talked shocks. Coilovers will be ordered, the rears have an unknown eta. I'd love the suspension in time for Tundras to Sedona. So we might do a rear bilstein for a tacoma, longer shock and cheap, and run that until ADS rears come in. We also bought a Baja 20" s8 and it doesn't fit the bumper. So we are gonna get a rigid 20" SR and hope that fits. And lastly, I need new tires. So stay tuned for some fresh RTs

I removed the flares so we could clean up the fender underneath. I was happy that some polishing compound took out the tire marks. We'll see how much I can take out of the flare and I'll reinstall them. We decided not to do fiberglass and spend money elsewhere. So we ordered ADS front coilovers with resi :D We are also expecting some bilstein b110 5100 shocks and wheelers superbumps for the rear. ADS couldn't give us a time frame on their rears and I need something for Tundras to Sedona.
    IMG_20190407_144754.jpg
I also got a badass picture of my fogs and how they spread light. The wide cornering has an awesome cutoff (see the hotspot on the ground). I'm able to drive with these on at night and they don't blind anybody. I've asked several people how they look and they always say like fogs or headlights. I seriously love Baja Designs!

Got the Bilstein b110 5100 shocks meant for the 6" RCD lift and installed those today. Holy difference! My stock shocks were beyond shot so these already feel better on road. We can get flexy pictures hopefully this week or next. Now we are just waiting on the ADS coilovers and install rear bumps next weekend.

And you've got ADS lined up for afterward.

It's like 59 1/4" mounting width and about 10" tall or so. Super simple build, nothing crazy

Well, ADS coilovers won't be here in time for Tundras to Sedona. But we did get some new 35" RTs and they feel awesome. The worn MTs I had were loud and rode like shit. Fenders were also cut in prep for the new tires. All that's left is to finish the bed for camping and wire up my white pods.

I love those tires and would be on my truck if they only made a 285/75r17. When, I mean if, I go to 35’s...RT’s hands down!

Yeah I had 33" RTs on my 4runner, then wanted the 285/75/17 RT and I was upset as well they didn't make it. I still think it's crazy they don't. So I settled with AT2s. I really missed these tires. I can't wait to wheel with them!

Camper setup is basically finished! We're gonna make bed supports that the steel platform bolts into. Also the wood platform needs to be carpeted. But it's ready to sleep on this weekend!
