This right here. Toyota makes a 3/4 ton Tundra i would be waiting in line for it. As long as it’s a I6 diesel.

Off-road version should have better armor (actual skidplates and sliders) and decent 33” or 34” tires and locking rear and shocks. Or the pro. Atleast one version

Better interior, the design is good, but the execution is poor

Leather or leather look dash with stitching, the hard plastic looks cheap on a 50k+ vehicle

Actual leather wrapped steering wheel with better controls (look at Porsche as I love my Cayenne's steering wheel controls

Door panels should have more leather or leather like surfaces, not so much hard plastics

Lighting

Change all interior and exterior lights to LED

LED projection headlights

Add lights in the compartments that are dark: Center console, glove box, engine compartment.

Keyless entry and start

360 degree cameras like the Cruiser

Either add Car Play and Android Auto or at minimum add Waze to the current system.

Add 120VAC outlet inside the cab

Auto locking tailgate

Fix the material between the dash and windshield as mine sticks out and looks terrible

Things I like about the truck:

I like the length because any longer and it would not fit in my garage

The folding mirror, once again to help fit in my garage

I like the 5.7 engine as it is smooth and has the needed power

I love the 38 gallon gas tank as I don't care about MPG anymore as I don't need to fill up except once every two or three weeks

The rear window fully rolling down

The sunroof is nice, but panoramic would be better

The cross traffic alert, really helps in the parking lots

The rear fold up seats. I know a lot of people still wish for the old reclining seats, but for me the rear fold up seats are more useful.

If Toyota updated the Tundra with my above wish list, then it would be worth me upgrading. As they probably will not make most of these changes, I'll just have to drive my Tundra for the next 10 years and then see what is out there.

On a side note, I know a lot of people say they don't want all of the "fancy" features as they are worried they will break. I would agree that a lot of people don't want these features, which is fine as they make the SR5 and limited editions that shouldn't have all of these features. When it comes to the Platinum or 1794 these features should be included to keep up with the market. Even the Camry and Corolla have these features at under $30k. Also Toyota/Lexus has had most of these features for the last 20 years and they don't break. They are no more complicated then the latest engine management systems and I don't see many people wanting to go back to carburetors and points. Just my 2 cents.

A few additions:

I bought an after-market tray for the center console that has a change holder. Why not make this standard?

Bed lights.

HUD

Remote start that doesn’t shut engine off when doors are opened.

Rain-sensing wipers.

This is the MOST frustrating thing. It’s on ALL Toyotas as far as I can tell. You can get around it with after-market systems provided you have a key, not push-to-start...

Did anybody mention on the double cab rear doors put back storage pockets or water bottle holders?

My 2008 had it but the 2017 does not.
