Yes it is. A tougher frame could be/should be done. I'm thinking if Toyota ever made a 8ft Crew Max for example, it should have a beefed up frame, diff, axles , etc. There are some big RV's out there now.

@matluth I understand where u are coming from because I work for a truck company and we put PTO on the trucks and we put cranes and winches and yes there are a lot of stuff I can do with a PTO ..but that would be a good OPTION...

I knew there were some guys here that know what this old fart is talking about. Back in the day Willy's Jeep offered a farm version with actual optional farm implements. Very, very rare. The implements are worth more than the Jeep.

The old International Scout/II also had PTO. Actually most 4X4's had PTO transfer cases. Everything is pussy wussed out now on trucks from the factory. IMHO. What's next ? Vanity mirror lights??? (oh...wait)

I agree, I actually never thought about using my truck for a back hoe, but my property is off the grid, would be nice to have the transfer case PTO option. Most folks here would never think of using a transfer case PTO if they never even knew it existed or what it was. Now they do.

Anybody here who has lived on a ranch or farm knows what it is. I'm speaking for them too. There are a lot of us. That being said I want to add an optional winch to the dream list. (Electric is fine) Hydraulic better.

That skid plate thing does suck. AWD: You can do: Sequoia transfer case, plus Seqouia 4X4 ecu module, Lengthen front drive shaft 3/4", Shorten rear drive shaft 1 3/4", = AWD. There is a very good write up with pics on TundraTalk.com.

That's the problem, the PTO went away with the manual tranny over the years. Would be a nice option. We definitely need more options that compare to the big three, and now the Titan too.. Tundra is showing it's age.

Yes I was somewhat familiar with PTO. When you first said it I immediately thought of my wife's kitchen aid mixer....PTO....same concept, different applications.

But living here in developed So Cal I personally don't see a need. But this thread is a running wish list. So for you it could be quite useful. Good idea!

Sun visors in my opinion need updating. At times I need two to alternate between windshield and side window.

Some visors have a pull out plastic piece that goes to the side for a longer visor, but a tertiary visor that drops down for those low sunsets/sunrises.

Nope, it sure doesn't. It is the single best improvement that can be made & will give you a couple more MPG. I believe Ford has had it for at least a couple of years in the 150. Many smaller engine cars have it, but there seems to be a problem using DI on larger block engines, I'm just not sure what that problem is. You would think for as old as the present 5.7 is that Toyota would have had least made a little noise about going to Direct Injection, butzI guess it requires a rebuild of the engine block to do so.
