I preferred a slightly longer bed of the DC as I tend to load camping gear and construction materials on occasion, the back seat space is plenty and I have no issues when my son who is 6'2 and 325 lbs sits in the back and loves the room. I also have the under-seat storage compartments unlike the CM does not, again as everyone else has stated it is "user preference".

If you have small kids and use child seats then the room is a little tight IMO.

If DC had the rear power window I most likely would have bought one. I do like the looks of the CM better. Resale is also a consideration although I do not plan to sell this one any time soon.

Funny cause my 2010 DC had the power rear middle window and a few other great things they did away with!

I see where all the guys who prefer CM are coming from but, since our (eventual) kids are mostly going to ride in my wife's Corolla, I suspect a DC will work for us. The 6.5' bed and lower price make it more attractive and it's almost as big as most competitors' crew cabs.

If Toyota sold a cm with a standard bed I’d be the first to buy it.

Well, my CM has a 6'5" bed. I REALLY lucked out getting this truck. It's a CM with a DC bed. Don't understand why Toyota has never made this a factory option. Can be a bitch to park because it's loooong, but so what? It's more practical for hauling. Dig it.

    i struggled with the same.

I like the looks of the DC better than the CM...the lines seem nicer in my opinion.

I set the seat to where I like it..and got in the back. I was comfortable in the back...with someone my size driving...OK

I had a buddy get in the back, after the GF set her seat for a drive...he is over 6 foot...and was amazed that the room in the rear of the DC...

the rear seat on the DC is VERY usable....the weekends I have my daughter and a friend going to a camp site - no issue...

I like the longer bed of the DC

would LOVE to have a roll down rear window...but, not enough to get a CM.

    I really like my DC...

The CM reminds me of the Ford sport track. I understand that not everybody is a contractor but the short bed makes its usefulness similar to an suv. I wish Toyota would either enlarge the DC interior slightly or shrink the CM interior in the future. A little less bed space and a little more interior room. A 6’ bed option with 6” added to the DC interior would be epic! I’m 6’2” and I can just barely fit my younger kids in the back seat. The bed length is most important for me.

A headache rack would solve most people’s problems. I prefer the sliding tracRac myself. Wether you regularlyneed it or not for the price it’s a great thing to store for those times you do need it.

I went with the Doublecab because fishing rods dont fit in the Crewcab bed. I carry fishing rods everywhere with me at all times ( never know when you will see a good spot ).

Do you want a Honda Ridgline (crewmax) or a truck? (dbl cab). It was an easy choice for me.

I needed to haul 12ft lumber which I do often with sizable loads with a bed extender bar. So I went for the Dbl cab. The crew max bed length wasn't enough length for me to feel safe having that much weight over the bed extender. And my 3 kids ( 15 yr, 12 yr and 1 year old )fit nicely in the back seat.
