Still waiting on one of us SR5’ers to figure out a semi easy way to wire these in and give us a tutorial :help:.

I would assume you could tap into where the door open sensor is without going all the way back to the fuse box?

Sr5 w TRD SPORT Package here. The longer I own this truck, the more I hate it. Toyota went so cheap in the strangest places and even not so strange. Wish I went RAM instead. Or limited tundra I guess.

What year is yours? Mine is a 23. Maybe it was an issue with availability so they were omitted.

Also a 23 Just got it 2 weeks ago. I really wish I liked it more :( It's such a spoiled brat move to hate on a car this expensive, but I just feel like Toyota made some crap decisions. I'm curious if other manufacturers have similar quality problems, e.g. Ford or RAM.

I traded in a 2022 ram 2500 Cummins for the Tundra. 5 recalls and 7 dealership trips in 8 months/8,000 miles. Radio won't work, Bluetooth won't work, air conditioner won't get below 70 degrees, transmission shifts so hard 2nd to 3rd it about gives you whiplash. Ram damn sure isn't any better. I'll take my Toyota over them any day.

this is opinion since i cant find hard numbers to put in this post.

statistically from my observation, toyota tundra's (or in general toyota's) have a lower % of issues to volume than the big 3.

so you are less likely to get a sour grape in a toyota vehicle than the big 3. it does happen on toyota's and by chance on the new tundra, but % wise vs volume sold, it will be way lower than the big 3.

Did the TRD ones you ordered have a oem connector plug on them? Did they plug right in as in plug and play?

All you do is remove the plug in the existing one and put it in the new one. I used a flathead screwdriver to pop the light out of the door. The new light has two receptacles. I was confused at first because at first it looked like it wouldn't fit, then I noticed the other receptacle that was for the OEM connector. The photos and video on his website for the TRDPro light is actually my truck. He asked if I would send it to him so he had an actual fitment pic/video.

PXL_20230524_045626860.jpg I purchased the "Tundra" lights and really like them. Quick and easy install. The image makes it appear blue, it is not, it is white.

do you have the interior footwell/ door lighting? I have a 24 SR5 Sport Preimum and all kinds of packages - about to pop the little cover off to see if the wires are behind it.

I did the blue TRD to match blue accent interior lighting. The work great and much brighter than oem door light. 3min install / side. NOTE: there is too plug in ports. At first I thought mine did not work... but quickly realized there was a second plug in port. My guess are universal for other Toyotas such as the 4runner.
