I have two big dogs and no problems with dog hair in the truck. This is because they have never even seen the interior of my truck haha. They ride in kennels in the bed. More room and safety for everyone involved. Mud river kennel covers keep them dry and warm even in winter.

Depends on the temperament of your cat or your dog. We had a real asshole tom cat(acted like a tom cat even though we had him fixed) when I was a kid. His killer instinct was insane(great hunter) along with how territorial that cat was. Our neighbor's boxer puppy dog kind of got away from them one day, wandered into our yard, it was a bit bigger than the cat(he was a good 14-17lbs, long legged, short hair tabby, nothing but muscle).

I remember watching that cat just tear across the yard full sprint and actually tackle that puppy, she saw him at the last second and turned away, thank god she saw him because I saw that cat start to go for her throat but missed. Neighbor saw the whole thing and was yelling at the dog to get back here(he was trying to train her to stay at his side without a leash). We both had a good laugh about the the whole incident, he said that will show her not to wander off from my side. Poor dog had a small chunk of the tip of her ear missing where the cat bit it.

We have 2 cats and my Huskies have never bothered them at all. Maybe since they know they belong. Not sure what would happen if they encountered a stray cat
