Funny this thread popped up about that tight garage. My wife threw me the keys earlier in the week after hitting a pole for the second time in that garage in the last 6 months....first one was $2500, this round I was able to get all paint transfer from the pole. I was pleasantly surprised how much flex the panel had.

does that make it pole 1 tundra 1?

My wife drove the Tundra once. Once...

Full disclosure she wasn't at fault. Guy in a convertible Mustang ran a red light. I upgraded to a 3rd Gen and she hasn't asked to drive it yet. :fingerscrossed:

I've only had my tundra a short time but my wife hasn't driven it. She says its too big. She didn't like driving my Explorer.

I’ve had three tundras since I’ve been dating and married to my wife.

She has flat out said I will not even move it out the driveway because it is too big.

Has never even sat in the drivers seat of any of them.

My wife used to take mine now and then to work just to drive something different (back when driving to work was a thing) and she borrows it now and then to use it as a truck and pick up stuff that won't fit into her X5. We also take turns driving it when we travel down south every year so she's got quite a bit of highway time on the Tundra.

My wife did thousands in damage to my truck in 09, months after I bought it and went out of town. She paid to have it fixed. I threw her the keys again as soon as it was back in the driveway.

The truck is 11 years old now with nearly 100k and has its share of wear and battle scars. It would feel silly to reflect back on me going crazy, displaying a lack of trust, and revoking her driving privileges 10 years ago, causing major lasting conflict over something that is now 11 years old and full of wear and tear anyway and probably getting traded in a few years.

Feels much better to remember that time she smashed my truck and I told her letting her know I still trust her was my priority. Earned me WAY more points.

And her Acura is more expensive than my truck, she has never kept the keys from me. Although I don’t
like the car much and rarely drive it.

I get mine to take it to work every so often. Usually when her Cherokee needs maintenance or something. Just enough to be comfortable driving it when she needs to. She's not a fan of the size but it hasn't come back with any damages yet haha.

    Mine has no desire to.

First weekend we had my tundra, my wife and I went to Santa Fe NM for a weekend getaway. The hotel we stayed at had a super tiny parking lot (in the old town) and I had to make about a 2784756 point turn to get into a parking spot. Ever since she saw that she’s had no desire to.

Wife loves her 4R Pro, but likes driving my truck more. She finds excuses to drive it since I have a work truck.

Funny thing is we got married I traded in my Jeep SRT to get her the 4R as a better DD for her, and to be our main DD as well. We still end up driving the truck 90% of the time.

My wife always wanted a big truck when we were dating and before we dated

Now that we have it, she is free to drive it but finds it intimidating to park etc. She loves her Rav and we both share ownership of them and take whichever we are in the mood for or makes the most sense ...for me, that's always the truck if I'm driving and for her, it's the Rav when she's driving

    Win win

My wife would drive my Tundra if she felt the need. We bought vehicles at the same time, I just crossed 4k miles on mine and her 4Runner is still under 500. She just doesn't drive much.

My wife has no problem driving my Tundra, but she doesn't drive it very often. When she does, my MPG's drop by about 1.5 MPG per tank.

She started to on the way home from breweries, kind of supervised. Now she drives it once in a while, mostly because her car needs repairs and she hates my VW GTI.

She parks it far away from other cars and she's a pretty careful driver.
