Does This Look Right?? CB Shackle Question

I had a shop install my CB +2 shackles awhile back and didn't think to double check anything, until I started measuring for a larger spare tire today. I'm currently running 285/75/18 tires (34.8 inch tire) and wanted to see if I could fit a spare underneath the truck.

So I dropped the spare tire down and measured shackle to shackle and got 32 inches. So I said great I'm screwed, then I noticed the shackles were crooked and angled inward towards the center of the truck.

Does this look correct or did the shop do something wrong with the leaf springs?

Thanks in advance for any input/advice I'm still learning about suspension.

 

My shackles are turned a little inwards. I do believe it was done to aid in the working of the leaf springs/suspension. It's normal.

 

They are fine. The Tundras have a trapezoidal design in the rear end.

Back to the drawing boards on fitting a larger spare tire under the truck!

 

No problem. Perhaps you can deflate the spare and carry a small compressor to inflate when needed.

 

There are some threads on it.....you will have to remove the spare tire guide brackets.

 

I have a 33” spare under my truck with Coachbuilders and a bit of room to spare.
I do have to walk the tire up so it lines up right.

Thanks George for this! I truly do appreciate it!! I was searching the forums about the spare tire, but got concerned when I saw the shackles turned inward I would have other major issues.
