I come to accept that the parts are not going to be a perfect color match. My 2016 have color variations between doors, bed and cab. I see the same color variation in my 2020. When I painted my bulge and surround, it was off. I'll be upgrading to a TRD Pro in a few months I expect for it to be off. But my flares looked perfect. It's color matched plastic similar to the old OEM plastic trims from the previous Toyota models.

I just met Vick with a TRD pro in cement this afternoon. He's not a member yet, below is the photo of the bulge and hood.

Does your truck have TSS? If so, what did you do for relocation? Thanks

Truck does indeed have TSS. The new TRDPro grille has a spot to transfer it over, though you do have to buy a cover to go there as well so the sensor isn’t exposed. Lots of options, OEM, eBay, etc. I got mine from a previous forum member and it has held up well so far.

Did you have to have the 2019 pro grill surround painted? I don't see it as an option from Toyota like the older pro grills.

bought the older style grille and new style and switched the inserts. Sold the other with the older style in it once I was done. Or you can but it swapped from sparks for a lot more. Got some money back doing it the previously mentioned way, just was time consuming switching (about and hour or so to do both)

Heres my 19 with a pro grill and surround that were purchased painted. I also added a picture that shows my paint job to the buldge and bumper caps. I think it all matches pretty good. The last pic of whole truck has a shadow on the driver side so it looks off color but it isnt. There are so many angles of the front end there are different reflections which cause it to look off color.

Your paint job looks great. Looks evenly coated. Did you have past experience?

No I dont have any automotive painting experience. Its PPG paint in a can and 2K clear. Took it slow and did 3 coats of primer, color, clear.

did your bumper end caps come with the cement grey when you bought the truck or did you add those?

Nice looking wheels and tires -- are those Toyota wheels? And which tires are you running?
    Thanks!

Paint codes have shades in color called variances. It will also look different between metal and plastic painted parts. My 13 has 12 or so different shades in the book at the body shop.

    Haven’t been on here in a while...Sorry
The front end caps were originally chrome, mine have been blasted and painted. I think they look great, but I’m biased of course.
I’m running Nitto Ridge Grapplers in 285/70 on the TRD pro rims.
