Does my truck have the fake engine noise?

Trying to figure what's worse old fake hood scoops or augmented v8 speaker sounds

Kind of cool to change the engine noise enhancement with the sound of a pack of wolves lol

 

Nice to see that Toyota have considered the satisfaction of six year olds in their truck features.

 

Ill trade 50 years to get back to 6 if I can keep my brain

 

If you’re cool with an interior that’s equivalent to a 2000 Chevy cavalier, sure the previous gen is better .

 

Fake engine noise is JBL only. I turned mine off a long time ago with a Bluetooth OBD tool and the Carista app. The truck doesn’t sound much different, just less bass to the engine noise

And no, it never sounded like a V8. It sounded like a massive V6. Now it sounds like a 3.5ish liter V6

 

Has anyone had this issue? I’ve got the DC Limited with JBL (‘22) and when using the Carista earlier, I don’t have any option come up for changing the fake engine noise. I think it’s within the “chassis” setting which is not an option for me. Has anyone else experienced this? Does it mean I don’t have the piped-in noise? Thanks for your help, all!

The DC's don't have it, it's a CM with JBL premium that do... I too have a DC Limited with JBL premium and don't have the SES...

 

SES= shitty exhaust sound?
