Tell me how is it with your truck? I am thinking of installing it in my truck. What can you advise? Did you install it yourself and how is it installing easy or not?

Hi. New to this forum, Just bought a 2018 Tundra Sport. Really like the truck. I would like to install a grill guard similar to this from Westin:
    https://www.westinautomotive.com/sportsman-grille-guard/2018/toyota/tundra
However Westin says it will not work with the adaptive cruise or grill mounted lazer control sensors. Not sure what the lazer sensors are, but my truck does have adaptive cruise, although I thought they worked from the area of the rear view mirror. anybody able to shed some insight on if this grill guard will work, alternatives, or are we just out of luck on grill guards. Thanks!

I have installed mine already but my navigation still work though. I don't have "adaptive cruise" so I guess I have no problem

the adaptive cruise works from a radar signal sent out from the toyota emblem mounted in the grill. if this signal is blocked you will get TSS alarms and your cruise will not work.

Thanks for that, didnt know the Toyota emblem was so important! What about the collision avoidance system? is that coming from the bumper, emblem, or rear view mirror area?

Not sure of which one or if both are involved.
