I had a pretty good load on Today so I pulled into a lot to Air Up a little before hitting the Highway.

Drug the Whaler out to Lake Mojave to do some bass fishing. Really happy with how the DC pulled, plenty of power (had an 03 AC V6 before) longer wheelbase really rides nice. With Me & my Pops, 5 gallons of gas in the bed, 5 gallons of water, 2 coolers, floor jack & tools, a crap load of fishing gear, and a large pelican case full of camera gear . . . averaged 15 MPG over the 500 mile round trip running around 65+ mph trying to keep it under 70. Decent amount of elevation change around 4000 feet, so I'm happy overall with the economy.

I have a few pictures of it not on a trailer when the car isn't blurry if you want to see more of it.

JK. Was making a poor attempt at a joke. A friend had one years ago and I was able to drive his. Is that the car that was so often stolen in Great Britain?

Inaugural camping trip with the new camper and the new truck. The 2019 pulls much more confidently than the 2000 did.The extra weight, extra power, extra gears and lower rear end gearing made towing the camper easy. No white knuckling and no first gear hill pulls. Happy with the upgrade. Pups like the big back seat too.

Purchased a second camper to attempt getting into the rental business. Went out on the first trip to make sure everything works on it. Grey wolf 26djse.

Ended up selling our 23ft KZ Escape this spring took our first longer trip with the 26DJSE Grey wolf. You certainly notice the extra width and weight, acceleration is a bit slower and hills are more noticeable.

Still tracks well behind the truck, managed 10.8 mpg round trip on ~600 miles to Lake Cumberland. I would say this is probably the upper end of what I would be comfortable with behind my truck for longer journeys.

According to my Sherline I was at 720 lbs tongue weight with 2/3 water tank before I left home. I bring my front end back to the pre trailer attachment height with the wdh adjustment and send it.

I've always gone by sight and feel, front wheel well height is where I started, trucks sitting levelish, trailer is level, tongue weight is in spec, not white knuckling on the highway, trailer tracks straight, with minimal impact from wind and big rigs - good to go.

I don't get worried about going to scales every trip. Maybe someday I'll fill up at a pilot or wherever the cat scales are and weigh it for those who are curious.

That is funny, I didn't realized this was a 1st Gen topic. I guess we need to build one for our 2nd Gens.

Doesn't help when the OP fails to indicate generation in the thread title. Always a good bet; a lot of folks don't check the threads list directly in the subforum; they look via the home page.

It also looks like OP hasn't been seen in about 3 years, so don't know who'll manage it.

Had a great trip down to Gulf islands National Seashore. Had a lot of fun at the beach, checking out some forts (Pickens, Barrancas, and Advanced Redoubt). Saw the Blue Angels practice, kids got autographs, and checked out the naval air museum.

Tundra did great on the trip. Just under 2000 miles, almost exactly 10MPG for the trip (9.995). I did make an effort to get weighed as that’s a pretty big question from everyone whenever posting trailer pics. On the way down I stopped at a pilot, and there were 4 semis in line at the scales, so on we went. On the way home i pulled into a Kwik Stop and after fueling went back in the truck area to get weighed, and there were cones up in front of the scale, assume it was out of order so in we went. Maybe on the next big trip I’ll try again.

I did weigh the tongue before we left, picture attached for those interested, camera angle makes it a bit difficult to see, but right at 750 lbs fully loaded for the trip.

I’m guessing i have somewhere over 100lbs if tongue weight? The truck still accelerates great down really steep hills. It also brakes excellent while driving up really steep hills as well. It also handles perfectly on the highway...at 50mph...if i keep both hands on the steering wheel.
