Ok, so now that ive have the new Dobinsons setup on for a few weeks, im in love with how it rides. Soaks up bumps like they’re not even there..way way better than anything ive had on any previous vehicle. The springs they sent me were C59-778, which are now on Exit Offroads website for preorder..maybe I was the guinea pig with these? Who knows..but i am happy. Currently sitting around 25” from center hub to bottom of the fender with these. The rear is lifted 1.5” currently..looking to go to a 2” soon to get a little rake.

Yeah, turns out they built that set of coils for you apparently and air freighted them over, and have a bunch of them due to arrive for stock at the end of August, so I just added the new options to my site the other day.

crikeymike. Do you know if they have or will have the 2 inch front springs in stock configuration without the extra load? I really don't want to go over 2 inches or have spring rates that are too stiff on a stock front end. Thanks!

The C59-778 is the shortest no-weight front coil that is being made. As you can read above, he says they ride great.

Below are the specs I had looked up previously. What are the specifics for the C59-778?
    Thanks!

    Dobinsons 2.25” coils - 737lb, 410mm free height
    Dobinsons 3” comfort coils - 662lb, 460mm free height

No news yet. Pricing will be in line with the other MRA kits for Tacoma, etc.

Looking like at the end of the year for the new monotube options. It's a priority, and also the fronts will work on the Sequoia, so they'll make 2nd Gen Sequoia rear options as well to get full coverage on those as well!!

This is great! I was wondering if this was in the works. Since they have adjustment, do you think I can do 2" with the 2.5 comfort springs? Really don't want to go higher due to look and my tire size. And, the other day you said they don't have the lower 2" springs in comfort, but do you know if there are any plans on them? Thank you!

Possibly not. Lowering the coil seat on some vehicles can cause interference with the sway bar or other parts, so generally they can't go lower than the factory height for that reason.

I don't think there are any other plans for a lower height coil up front.

Are you running spacers with the 285/75 and stock wheels?

I just ordered the 3” stock weight with the new style front coils. Waiting for them to get to the US. I’ll be running it with new 285/75r18 TOYO MT and MK6 matte black wheels. I’ll post pics and impressions after I get them installed.

Why do the descriptions all state "Double Cab." What about those of us with CrewMax trucks?

That's what the aussies call "4 door trucks" basically. Yes, the same for the CrewMax, lift height may vary a fraction due to differences in the weight. All the parts were based around the regular 4x4 double cabs.

I like these kits if for no other reason than the fact that they are intrinsically linked to the Australian off-road culture. Same reason OME is cool. To me, Icon and King are more associated with the brotastic fuckboy culture.

Yes but just noticed the shipment has been delayed. I've been down the delayed road before & may cancel the order. This lift isn't important enough to me to go on & on waiting. I can get the same OME kit tomorrow & save money. I had the equivalent OME kit on my FZJ80 & had zero complaints. I put 60K miles on it from the southern border of the US to the northern border & all over in between. From highway driving to pretty extreme rock crawling, I had zero complaints.
We'll see how this delay plays out.

Yeah, hurricanes are a hell of a thing!! If only people could control the weather, there'd be less delays in the world.

I am not. Rubbed slightly on the front sway bar, but it’s off now. No other rubs besides front spat.

Also anyone know what the heavy load rear spring is intended to carry. I have the FWC now and am couple hundred over GVWR when loaded up. It is ok with the Timbren, but I can tell it is basically riding on them and the stock overload spring. Leaving the camper on full time. I’m gonna need some spring help.

I got a quote for the L59-121R leaf pack (Constant heavy load, 55mm lift), u-bolts, and poly-bushing kit. Talked to my FWC dealer MainlineOverland this morning and they assured me this would play nice with the camper. I’m right at max weight day to day. I already have the front coils and rear shocks, would just complete the “kit.”
Any further input would be appreciated.

They have built up a lot of Tundras with Dobinsons, so their suggestions will be spot on.

Edit, they gave us info about the next container.

The container that has been running late is scheduled to be delivered this week.

This is such a great looking truck.

I tried reading back but was unlucky finding out - are those 295/70s? Using any wheel spacers?

Thanks!! The tires are 275/70’s. I JUST got them within the last year, so didnt feel like getting new ones just yet..hopeful for the end of the year though. And wheel spacers, yes. Im running the BORA 1.25” ones..only reason for that was to clear my aftermarket (ZONE) uca. Any other questions feel free to ask.
