    Thanks Mike!

In your experience with current IMS Tundras, are they sitting at a real world 3 inches of lift on the 2nd groove?

Thank you! Mine will be here Tuesday and I would have probably screwed it up based on this install sheet.

There's no reason for them not to, if they're set properly and with the correctly selected coil springs.

Ordered these, 2.25" springs for bumper/winch, IMS front and rears. No new leaf or block. I'll be sure to post pics once it's in

For the 3 in coils, do you recommend setting the left at 3 and right at the bottom notch for 2.5, or setting both at 2.5 and using a shim on the left?

Im getting the 2.5 coils but I think I'm going to run the drivers side a notch higher and hopefully get away without a shim. I don't want to deal with spacing out the bump stops and losing travel.

I don’t seem to have the lean and I was pretty sure they sell these as a driver side and passenger side already to account for the lean.

Either way I’ll measure and adjust afterwards if it’s bad. But right now I’m just trying to stay warm here in DFW

Not every vehicle leans the same, so setting the coil seat height to the same on both sides is the normal thing to do, then you can either pull them and adjust down or up a clip if necessary, although adding a shim on top is easier than dismantling the setup to raise the coil seat height. Older trucks with a very prominent lean before upgrading the suspension should offset the seat height before installation.

I don't think so, since stock is so hard to get from overseas these days. And Dobinsons never gives more than a week notice for any sales they're going to do.

With regard to IMS shocks from Dobinson's, they do not sell them Driver and Passenger. Trying to figure out whether setting the left side on the 2nd ring and right on the 1st is better than both on the 1st (2.5inches of lift if you have 3in coils) and using a shim on the driver's side.

    Btw, stay safe out there!

Yea if I end up with a lean I’ll do a little 1/4 or 1/2 inch shim on driver side so I don’t have to reassemble the coil over. That would require me to go to a shop to get it assembled and I’d have to Uber it

Received my IMS shocks today. Need to get them assembled and put on but I'm excited. The packaging from Dobinsons was really bad. The shock boxes where completely destroyed but luckily they only have minor scratches. Not enough to worry about sending them back

Same thing here. Boxes packaged too flimsy. Don’t think they’re busted though. Still at work, so I’ll snap pics in the morning.

Is there no sort of packing material within the boxes to protect the shocks? I wonder how much of that damage was done enroute to you vs. what the box looked like when it arrived in the US.

Both shock boxes and coils springs were packed in one single large box. That box was in good shape but had no packing material. So all 105 lbs we're bouncing around inside across the country. Inside the shock boxes there isn't really much for packing material. What you see in my picture is how they come packed in the box.

Can you measure the length of the cylindrical shock body alone not the shaft and eyelit portion.
Could just be the angle of the photo and the fact that you don’t have it actually assembled but the shock body itself seems really short/stubby.
I know they are over 2.5” diameter but it just seems awful short and the shaft seems extra long but again could be the angle. Not knocking the Dobinsons as they would be what I would have ordered had they been released when I ordered the Falcons.

I got my Falcons the other day and the packing was outstanding.

Yes no problem. I'll get a measurement when I get off work this afternoon. I think it's the angle of the picture because I see what your saying and they are not that stubby looking in person

Those Falcons are really nice looking too. They were on my list but I wanted new springs. Curious to hear more real world reviews on those.

Reusing the factory spring was my largest reservation with the Falcons but after talking with the folks at TeraFlex and learning more about the ZRT essentially a progressive internal bump stop against droop. I don’t believe my style of off roading is aggressive enough for this to be an issue for me.
I did however pickup a set of factory springs with only 3k miles so I won’t be using my 80k mile springs.
We’re in the midst of a week long ice storm and likely won’t start melting until the beginning of next week. So it will be a minute before they get installed.
I am looking forward to folks real world experience a with the Dobinson IMS as well.

Here you go. Everything came pretty busted up packaging wise, which is concerning... but it looks all fine.

While those Falcons appear to have a nice paint job, I do not think they are up to the task of real off road driving nor are they marketed as such. Sport Leveling what does that even mean? Are we really complaining about packaging, looks fine to me you know these are going on a 4WD right?

I’d suggest doing a little research on TeraFlex/Falcon. I know a number of people running Falcons on their Jeeps and beat the piss out of them far more than I will with this truck. They have been in the off road game a very long time and have a very solid reputation. My truck is not a Baja racer nor is it anything that really needs some crazy long travel setup.
I am fairly confident they will do everything that I ask them too with plenty more capability than I actually need. At a very solid price and far better components than most of the other folks in the game.

Are there better products out there absolutely. Will they outperform Bilstein 5100s, 6112, and Fox 2.0s being that I have had all those I am pretty confident they will hence the reason I did not go with them again.

I already stated that if the Dobinson IMS would have been out in November when I orders the Falcons that is what I would have gone with.
So I am by no means a fan boy but I also am well aware TeraFlex makes an absolute rock solid product.

Pretty sure they use an EDP coating for corrosion protection and not just pretty paint.

I have had Bilsteins in both 5100s, 6112s, and 4600s. The 5100s and 6112s corroded very very quickly here and the 4600s rusted.

The Foxes I only had for about 3 months but most seem to go the way of the Bilstein in terms of corrosion that I have seen.

As for the name Sport Leveling. Seems pretty simple. Adds a bit of sport (better handling, control, traction, off road capability) and levels the truck.
TRD Sport, what does that even mean?

    Not enough....
@crikeymike, how do you go about getting the red springs? Is that a special order, because it seems like the teal color is the most common. It doesn't matter too much, but one less different color on my truck would be nice lol
