This is about my limit these days but I have and can easily make it an indefinite time period if I need to.
I stay i here while doing Radio Relief work after disasters as needed and there are really not too many downsides especially when I consider thise who I am there to help.

The number one rule then is to not make anything worse while helping!

I voted “yes” with the idea I could go out of town and sleep in the bed, technically living in it for the duration of the trip, but to make it a permanent place? Negative.

i could totally do this. not attached to the house. it's just a house and a massive debt load. let's not talk about the cost spike since the sprinklers and a/c are running. i'd like to be free of it.

if i was single, i'd just do a small trailer with a pcor shell on the truck. something like a conqueror, off grid, apache from bear, overkill or boreas. overkill has a neat idea with a mini slide out.

since i'm not single, i'm learning towards something like the bruder exp6 or opus op15. i'd probably still add the pcor shell.

Thank you... the hatch back has turned out to be it's best feature.
I can work underneath in the shade and protected from rain, etc...
The french doors were appealing, but they offered zero overhead protection.

The space inside is impressive, the whole thing including Line-X is lighter
than the cab height LEER cap it replaced and the heavy lift gate is gone.

I am curious to see if the rear hatch will still go up if you are pulling a trailer too close?
I know I have had that issue somewhat with the French Doors but not really as bad as with a Tailgate if I remember correctly which I may not be?

I hear what you are saying, but I have no trailer - therefore no idea.

Interesting thread. I broke free of the ole ball and chain a few years ago:ballchain:I signed over to her my portion of the house, and kept the Tundra. (Fair deal as far as Im concerned because Tundy is paid off:D) I ended up sleeping in the back seat for about 6 months. I threw on a 4 in thick piece of foam and called it home. It wasnt that good because I couldn t stretch out completely. Recently I have been trying to get an audio install going, and I removed back and passenger seats to install sound deadener. With the passenger seat gone it s awesome. In that section one can stretch out completely with room to spare. I ve been seriously thinking about building a cot in place of the passenger seat. The only thing I need to figure out is how to hook up the air bags, or fool computer into thinking they are connected because dash light are on for bags, and weight sensor. The way it is now I have a feeling the bags wouldn t work if needed.

Back in 2006 I spent 5 months living under the shell of my 01 Access Cab while working remote and to pocket all my per diem.

Built a frame so my bed was above the wheel wells, and was a bunch of storage under it. Worked really well having all my clothes / gear / etc in the access cab area, and my cap had a slide window so it was easy getting my things from the cab.

Got a membership at the local gym so I had a place to shower and get ready every morning. A bunch if us workers all were there in our campground, so it was mainly communal bbq’s most nights.

One of the best summers I’ve ever had.

Man that is something to remember. I Worked on the road for a few years and it was crazy and kind of wild enough just staying in cheap hotels and cabins. Even more roughing it everybody just working hard and sleeping in there trucks and hanging out. Good memories I bet

I live in Aberdeen, WA and was able to meet the owner and tour the shop before ordering mine. It will be ready to pickup Nov, 11th. The build quality is excellent and just what we are looking for. Those things will last a long time.
