    Funny but I agree completely!

Not my usual carry but I have been on the road for the last month and have been trying to mix it up a little since I have been back, not always a good idea.

There has been a few times where I think I lost it because I was used to the heft of a stainless Spyderco. But even for how light it is it certainly is not fragile - it’s handled everything I’ve thrown at it so far.

Same here but somehow I cut myself more with smaller knives too?

This is my usual carry for the last year or so

Big enough to do any job but light enough to almost disappear.

I absolutely hate having a bunch of crap in my pockets so I carry this little Gerber. Great for opening boxes and cleaning fingernails. @ $15 I won't cry when (not if) I lose it.

If I need to stab someone in the neck I'll just shoot them instead.

This cheap knife is so great. I have replaced the Phillip’s bits a couple times already. Locking design is not great. I have a bench made the same size, but prefer this one. When you use the screwdriver, the shank is centered, so it is easy to twist.

It’s funny you say that. For probably a decade I have had a little Leatherman on my keychain. I think one the original Squirts.

Love how convenient the main scissors are and always having a little screwdriver. But the blade!!! I have cut myself so many times with it. Closed it on a finger, slipped while cutting, etc. By a huge margin it is the most dangerous blade I have ever owned.

They knife laws are tougher here, but its really a grey area. No one really says much about a knife in the pocket like a Delica or Bugout.

But, if you get in trouble and you have a spring loaded knife and, depending on the details, a knife that can be opened with centrifugal force with one hand you can get in a lot of trouble. You will never get a random stop from an officer about it, but if you are being crime-y and get caught in the act with it, expect an extra charge.

The key with knife laws in Canada is intent. If you’re using it as a tool the law makes allowance for a lot. Except automatics - that’s bad new here.

I’m a big Benchmade fan but I’ve been carrying this little guy recently. Wish I would have gotten a tanto blade, so guess I’ll just get another.

I always have either my Kershaw (~$30) or Skeletool (~$65). I'm in the market for either a Benchmade or something similar (Spyderco?).

Benchmade Nakamura Axis with carbon fiber handle, S90V steel with drop-point serrated blade. This has been the perfect daily carry for me. Light handle with a great grip, just enough serration and smooth blade to cover all my needs, just about as sharp as the day I got it. I've never had a knife that holds its edge so well.

I used to love my MICROTECH ULTRATECH with TANTO blade but pocket lint used to get into the handle and keep the blade from deployment. Sold it and got a Benchmade. 20180722_133723.jpg

That’s exactly what I want except with a black blade. Good to know about the lint. I’ll have to keep an eye out for that.

Have had the same Leatherman Skeletool CX for about 15 years now.... well kind of.

Back in 2018 boarding a train to Barcelona the security folks went thru my bag, and confiscated my original one that was over 10 years old.

Somehow had never lost the damn thing, and it was beautifully worn and beat up. Still bums me out to lose it like that. Bought a replacement one immediately.
