Just put mine to use. Another watchman called in a smoke report and the forest crew was having trouble finding it. No good overlook areas up here, so I put my mini 3 up and found it about 11 miles away and the smoke was staying low on the hill. Zoomed in to find it, so it was hard to see, but we found it.
    DJI_0048 (1).jpg DJI_0050.jpg
Already hearing planes in the area. Heard one smaller, probably a spotter, and one that sounded like a C130. So they may have re-routed some over to knock it down.
Fire #3 up here this yr.

Looking for some advice here please. I’m considering picking up a Mini 4 Pro as a Christmas present for myself, just as a hobby, no commercial use. First drone ever. From what I’ve read I think I like it over the 3P due to the all around collision avoidance feature. I also like the 249g weight as I don’t want to register either. With all this talk with banning should I just wait before spending the 700+? Thanks guys.

So buy now, or soon, (waiting for potential Black Friday deal)or no DJI access in the future?

Correct. If the bill passes, once they set an effective date the US retailers will no longer be allowed to sell them.

I wonder about DJI support for existing products should future sales be prohibited?

I'll reach out to their US support department and see what they say.

Don't forget iPhones, but we can't let people go without spending $1k for something that will be obsolete in a year.

I can not get over the humongous fever pitch of drones bring flown by the hundreds every night!!!???? I like the one that said "I saw one as big as my SUV"!!! My goodness these people that make things up just to get a few seconds of fame and the news agencies are sensationalizing the whole ordeal!! I do not know how a handful of people flying their drones at night turn into, they are up in the air by the hundreds!! LMAO!!!!! :) Fricken Hilarious!!!!! No laws are being broken but they are making such a huge THING out of it. I would hope that people are finding even cheap little ones and going out there flying them for 5 minutes and putting them up till tomorrow night!!! I LOVE it! Keep em flying at night it is such a hoot watching the nonsense from the NEWS channels! :)

Hola amigos, juat scored a DJI Mini Pro 4, with video screen remote, hard shell carry case, 5 batts, a 3 port charger, extra blades all manuals for $800 from a co-worker here at my railroad job, he bought last year, says he didn't have time to use, he always heard me talking about getting one for when I go MTB, or when my fur pups chase the RC, I'd also like to start recording me while I'm on the railroad tracks working, all I have to do now is learn to fly it lol
