Here is how you wrap the handles:
You need to wrap it tight but not so tight you can't pull it under itself.
You can use a lighter on the ends so it wouldn't fray.
In step C, pull at the bottom and the loop at the top will tuck itself in. Cut the other end off close and just push it under the wrap.

Helpful hint: Remove the handles before you wrap them:

Here is another thread about things you have wrapped with paracord - Link

Is the only purpose of this mod to add some color?

If you have some left over zombie green paracord, you now have a place to put it. (sarc)
Actually I do have some left over paracord that I used on my fishing kayaks. I might give it shot.

For me it was to add some color to the light grey and also to keep it from looking dirty from dirty hands.
The light grey and the light beige for grab handles are not a good choice for high traffic areas. They look dirty quick.

Plus you get to test your dexterity and knot skills at the same time. Certainty can't F up anything.

I did mine for extra grip mainly. My mom has trouble getting in and I didn't want her or anyone else slipping. Plus it keeps them from getting grimey/dirty.

We can always hit the Central City or Morrison roads to test the durability of the "oh shit" handles. :spy:

"Oh My God" road from Idaho Springs to C City is a good one to scare the queasy for a start.

Best comment so far. You may have just made this a must have mod. "Emergency paracord" mod. :bananadance:

Quick question, how many linear feet does it take to do all 4 handles, I plan on doing this soon. Thanks

If I'm not mistaken I ordered 50' of cord when I did mine and ended up with enough left over to do 1 or 2 more handles.

Agree with Ron and Trucky. Just one 50' spool will do all 4 with leftover cord.

What's the best way to get the handles off? Gonna try it this afternoon and don't wanna screw em up in the process.

I didn't remove my handles to paracord them - did it with them mounted to the truck.

Took the easy way out for my first handle wrap. The 10mm bolt was the first one I've removed on my new truck.
