    Let me ask a lame question. I have a '16 CM limited edition and I don't have any lights on my driver side footwell. Maybe a burned out bulb or do the limited's not come with footwell lighting?

    @TruckinIt vleds.com sells a kit already made. Easy install and looks great. You can do front and rear too. Very nice feature especially at night.

    I have them in the footwell and under the driver and passenger seats with Velcro. I have white when the doors are opened and blue lights while driving. The blue lights are hooked up to a dimmer switch and had them hooked up for about a 2 years issues or no glare on the windows. These strips work good for those that don't have a soldering tool and fit perfectly under the seats and the footwells. Amazon has 4 30cm (11.8in) strips ($7 with free prime shipping) I also used 3M double sided tape ($6) and 18 or 20 AWG ($12).

    I second the VLED kit. Looks great, and couldn't be easier to install. you can daisy chain them off of the outlet under the driver side.

    Thanks for the heads up brother. I'll check vleds.com out for the kit. My only question is do you just pull out the factory drivers side light from the back of the panel, unplug it and plug in the vleds.com kit?

    just replace factory bulb with vleds adapter. Very easy to do. If it doesn't lit up, switch side (polarity)

    Thanks for the great info,

    So the pic you show is that the OEM bulb and blue and white OEM wires that show the whole the footwell pull that popped out of the lower console.

    So I just splice into the blue and white wire with a red and black wire!

    Also would I splice it the same in the diagram if I buy the kit from

    http://www.vleds.com/all-products/universal-diy/rigid-bar/fwk-bar.html

    Also if I go your route could I even run some led steps you mention,

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00F01VRLU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_WiAyxbJH487ED

    out to the right and left N-fab steps and would I just tie that to into the OEM blue and white footwell wires?

    Thanks

    Supposedly the kit comes with a connector to where the bulb pulls out. If this kit is not the one that fits there then yes you will splice the wires in how i have shown them. Test the wires before you make it permanent to make sure you don't have to reverse.

    You can connect to these two wires and run them for lights on the steps.

    So if I run the same wire to right and left N-fab steps, they will turn on and off automatically when door opened and closed, thanks

    Vleds site is the source for this info:

    [IMG][IMG]

    3000K = YELLOW
    As seen on the graph, 3000 kelvin lighting is typically a YELLOW color. This color of lighting is most commonly found in fog lights in order to have a distinct color difference when compared to the headlights. It also helps increase visibility of a vehicle when viewed by other drivers.

    3600K = AVG. STOCK HALOGEN/INCANDESCENT
    As seen on the graph, 3600 kelvin lighting is the average color of stock halogen/incandescent bulbs. It's more white than 3000K but it still has an ORANGE/YELLOW tint. Many of our customers are trying to upgrade from this color of bulbs as they feel that it makes their vehicle look more dated than it is.

    4300K = AVG. STOCK HID
    As seen on the graph, 4300 kelvin lighting is the color of most stock HID systems. It's far more white than 3600K but it still has a very slight YELLOW tint. While more modern than 3600K, some customers still find that the 4300K isn't cool or blue enough.

    5000K = PURE WHITE
    As seen on the graph, 5000 kelvin lighting is the most WHITE color of all available. People who choose this color are usually trying to get a modern look without looking too aftermarket. This is the closest color temperature we offer that matches most factory HID systems.

    6000K = WHITE WITH SLIGHT TINT OF BLUE
    As seen on the graph, 6000 kelvin lighting falls between white and BLUE side of the graph. People who choose this color are usually trying to get an even more modern or futuristic style with the color. Even though the difference is slight when they are viewed side by side the color of 5K and 6K LED bulbs are obviously different.

    What's the easiest way to remember which color is which?
    Now that you understand how color temperature looks on the graph the best thing to do is to remember that the lower the number the more YELLOW or ORANGE the light appears. The higher the number the more BLUE or PURPLE the light appears.

    Not the brightest no. It is a color temp in the light spectrum. As Ron shows above the whitest white is actually 5000K. The 6000K has a slight blue tint to it.

    K = Kelvin = the SI base unit of thermodynamic temperature, equal in magnitude to the degree Celsius.
