    That timer looks like a sticker over one of Chinese ESP32 board. And by Chinese I mean Chinese: Espressif designs their own CPU cores and software. "Made in US" claim is over-exaggerated :)

    Anyways, I would choose Arduino Nano from a ready to use microcontroller boards for such a project. It is like $2/piece. The control code won't take more than a screen or two.
