I was able to get the timer programmed with this simpler recipe based on the dude's video:
(assuming start with factory settings; do the 5x power cycle while holding white & green if needed)
To select Timer Function 18 (ie. custom sequence)
    1) Start with power off
    2) Init programming mode: hold white & green, then apply power
    3) Release both buttons. You are now in programming mode.
    4) Skip the timer setting: Push white & green, then release
    5) Press white button 18 times, don't rush (observe LED blink between presses)
    6) Power off

Done setting Timer Mode 18, proceed to Beast sequence

To set the Tundra Beast sequence:
    1) Start with power off
    2) Init programming mode: hold white & green, then apply power
    3) Release both buttons, you are once again in programming mode.
    4) Press white for 4-count, release
    5) Wait for 1-count
    6) Press white for 4-count, release
    7) Wait for 2-count
    8) Press white & green together, timer is now set
    9) Wait for 1-count (timer takes a moment to register events)
    10) Power off

    Done setting Beast timer!

Definitely cleaner than my hacker approach! Let me know if the programming works as expected when you get it installed. I added a momentary press and 1 count pause before step 4 in your Beast mode sequence, as I wasn't sure if the ECU or wherever the traction control signal lives was available and ready immediately at power-on.

Yes, I wonder the same thing. I'll post back if things don't work when it's all assembled and potentially modify the sequence to include that initial delay

All done! The system works perfectly with the timing I described earlier. Thanks OP for an excellent overall writeup!

    My install notes:
    - Decided to locate my Beast switch near the VSC buttom for ease of install. I already have my Sub volume down there too.
    - Used the cigarette lighter 12v and GND as my power source, very easy to access of course since it's just a couple inches away.
    - Color coding on my VSC switch was different but wiring is the same. Blue-VSC to Pin30 on the relay (likely also blue), and the wire right next to Blue-VSC goes to the "other" Switch Red.

Inspired by this YT video, I decided to only remove the cigarette lighter panel and nothing else.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8duWqIwpB0E

Panel Removal. I started on the passenger side by putting my thumb in the 12v socket and pulling. This allowed my plastic tool to fit in. Then worked the top edge.

So do the 2020+ have the VSC button located here? Or did you do that yourself? I'd prefer mine be there but don't feel like re-routing/extending wires just for that.

Yes, the VSC was already there. I don't mind having it out of sight since now I'll never touch it.

My back window control is to the left of the steering wheel, down low where I can't even see it. I plan on moving that up above the brake controller, next to the Tow/Haul button. (and probably move the TH one slot to the left) All these button moves are definitely a PITA but Toyota has been adding features as an afterthought with little concern for convenience.

I’m an IT guy by trade, so it’s sort of in my wheelhouse, but it took a lot of trial and error. I wish I had found the video @BrakeDust posted, though. That would have saved a few hours of screwing around.

Discovered today that with traction control off my cruise control doesn't work. I can enable CC but can't set the speed.
If I poke the VSC button to disable Beast Mode, then cruise works again.

So I have a 3rd gen, it has the adaptive CC (ie. radar) plus possible over-ride to make it work like the regular CC. Anyway, I suspect that since Beast Mode also disables the crash detection (whatever it's called), it makes sense that cruise is disabled. I highly doubt any of the wiring had something to do with it, particularly since I can restore CC by disabling Beast on the fly.

Just posting that FYI, in case anyone is wondering. Overall the Beast mode is totally worth it and when combined with my pedal commander my truck feels much more 'alive' than stock.

Good catch. Also brings up the caveat that “this mod is intended for off-road use only”

I know the PCS gets disabled when all the nannies are off, but did you try turning off the radar cruise and use regular cruise? Just curious if it completely disables cruise, or if that just happened because the PCS was offline.

Yes I tried both modes. I can enable the CC but can't set my speed. It's a fair compromise since I seldom use cruise and if I were on a longer trip I wouldn't want Beast mode anyway. The latter is best used for those jack-rabbit starts from red lights ;)

I have a 2019 TRD Pro. When I press and hold the Traction Control switch for 3 seconds, It turns off the collision radar, traction control and turns on the auto-LSD. When I press it a second time and hold it, it appears to turn everything back to normal. Am I missing something or doing the second stage wrong? I have not added any of these switches/mods. I assume when I do the first step, I am getting to where yall are with this switch??? Please show me the error of my ways.

That's all I do (3-4s press, release, 3-4s press, release.) And for me it's the same procedure on my 2021 as it was on my 2008. Some icons may indeed "go back to normal" but now there's a new one that say "TRAC OFF" which didn't exist before. I don't care about the rest.

Ryan - I'll grab some pics of what the dash looks like at each of the steps, but you can also look at the video of my live test to see what dash lights will light up. The procedure @BrakeDust outlined is what you'd use.

Please do. The second press and hold function just seems to turn everything back to stock. The first one makes the Collision warning disabled light, car with squigly tracks, and the AutoLSD lights all come on.

Finally got around to taking pics. First is the initial button press-and-hold on the VSC Off button (can't remember if this is just because I have my timer programmed for a quick press prior to the press and hold stages), turns on Auto LSD light:
    IMG_1828.jpg

Then the lights go out while still holding the VSC Off button:
    IMG_1827.jpg

Then the Auto LSD, PCS Off, and VSC Off indicators are lit (about 3-4 seconds total):
    IMG_1829.jpg

Release the VSC Off, then press-and-hold again for 3-4 seconds. Lights will go off, then Trac Off, PCS Off, and VSC Off indicators will be lit:
    IMG_1830.jpg

    Hope that helps

Man, I didn't know this was an option, I'd take a kit if it was available. My 19 Ranger had the same scenario, you had to hold the traction control button down for 3 seconds and it shut everything off, including cruise control. Made it a lot better to drive.

I'd certainly be interested if it would work on my 2010. The unit that Ray builds won't work on mine. I bought one and had to return it, he was great to deal with and refunded the cost.

I will update once I can confirm that it will or will not work and see what configuration is needed to get it to work for your model year!

That's great that you're going to make them - but if you're going to sell, please make a FS thread in the marketplace. I want to keep this one focused on DIY questions.
