My wife drove the Tundra for the 1st yr, 15 miles to work...short trips, DTE hovered around 425, 14.5mpg....ish, now I'm using it for work, lots of time on the expressway, DTE is 550-575 most of the time.

bought new trd with 38 gallon tank, toyota says the extra 8 gallons is to cool pump, wonder why small tank with same pump (my last one had small tank) only needed 3 gallons to cool pump? I think someones nose is growing !!

What he said. You can reset the "average mpg" screen drive like a granny right before you fill up and it will say 600+. Reset it and drive like a mad man "beast mode" and fill it up and it will say 300.

I have the 38 gallon fuel cell (I know it's not a true 38) and I usually fill up somewhere between half and a quarter tank. Mine usually says about 550 miles to empty when I leave the pump.

I should add, I plan on getting the TRD exhaust put on next year. I expect my mileage will decrease because I'm going to be too busy stomping on the gas and listening to that beautiful iForce 5.7 sing.

Anywhere from 430-480 and I fill it up every three weeks.

Hmm...I’ve got the 26 gallon tank. I get 293 miles to empty. For those of you that switched to the 38 gallon tank...is it worth it?

Mine did the same as most everyone else. I had 500+ new, but now with 6000 miles it’s always around 440 at fillup. If I let it go close to E and say <50, I can only get around 30 gallons in the tank when I fill up though.

Depends on if you like filling up more frequesntly or not... I totally think it was worth it, but I’m always doing road trips/long drives, so having to to stop to fill up half as much was worth it to me
