Ya it was flat snow..the Tundra did well in it, but I noticed the wife was struggling in her (then) Jeep so I turned around to help her. I made the fatal mistake of stopping in a rut and was pretty dug in. Whoops.

    Tires
    Wheels
    Bumpers
    Winch
    Grill
    Driving lights
    Spray in box liner
Trailer brake control....as i read here the stock one is junk
    Upgrade stereo a little

    Yes i did.
A long box is not optional for me.
I was told by three dealers it cannot be done.
So while shopping for my new Ford f150, a lady from one of the dealers called me to ask what I thought of the sales man.
I said well he was pleasant enough, but I am buying a Ford instead. She inquired as to why, and I said I can't even get a limited with long box. She seemed to think that was possible.
She talked to some person at Toyota, called me back again, and said yes we can get you a limited if its in a double cab. So I ordered a double cab, long box, limited 4x4 with 5.7 engine.
So no regular cab, but I am fine with it.

That's great, sounds like it will be a rare truck. Post up some pics of it when you get it!

From the point of the consumer, it sure would be nice if all trucks and cars instead of certain trim levels, just let you tick off the options you want.
I still considered getting an F150, but will try a Tundra this time. I liked my previous Ford and Dodge trucks, only the gmc i dislike.
Next I am to research and order my employer a new car.
    Should be fun as usual.

Happy to see that you were able to order up a Tundra more or less to your liking. As for your list, I'm sure more than likely you'd have gone aftermarket on most of that stuff anyways. Looking forward to seeing pictures of her ... or him in this case. lol.

L o n g beds have their place.....mine is put to good use often. Can always find your truck in a parking lot, it's the one that sticks out 2' more than the others

I have not been on in a while.
    Life has been extremely busy.
So placed my order, then Toyota said no, we will not build it.
    Very unhappy with customer service.
Moved on, and ordered a F150.
Hopefully all you good people are well.
    Blessings.

Best of luck to you sir. Pretty sad you cannot get a limited DC Longbed in Canada.
I have not been brand specific in the past either if the auto company lineup doesn't work for my needs.

Keep us posted on your new truck.

When i was looking i talked to Ford and the only thing they had was the F250 crew cab long bed work package and no one had the lariat cab in stock. It would need to be ordered and that truck was over $50k.

So V8s what package did you get and how much?

Pretty sure they dont do a long bed F150 crew cab?

Is that thing for real? That looks either like a custom job or a Photoshop jobo_O I'm sorry and I'm sure it has its purposes, but I couldn't drive that boat. Maybe it would look better if it had a 6" lift and some 35s.

EDIT - ...and 3/4 ton suspension components and a diesel;)

I think it turns sharper than my 99 Tacoma at least no worse. Pulls my stock trailer just fine, I can fit an 8 ft fence post in the bed, and gets 16 mpg empty so Im happy with it
Theres a reason Im driving a Tundra, I might know a little bit about diesels. As far as a lift and 35's no thanks but it will get a set of stock size duratraks in the future.

The GPS in the Tundra isn't easily usable for finding your way to a destination; if you only require a moving map while you drive, I guess it's ok for that. I love how easily an iPod and phone play with the Entune system, but for actual navigation I bought a $200 Garmin. Easier and really intuitive interface, route options I can look at before selecting, easy to cancel navigation, and to reengage it when I get close to my destination.

All of those things are painful on the Tundra's included system.

This exists as a factory truck, I have seen it in person. A crewmax longbed platinum trim level. Someone at Toyota must not like Canadians.

    I highly doubt that!
Realistically i think the crew max back seat is too long and the double cab is too short.
NO FRIKEN WAY do they offer a crewmax longbed! LOL But there is a shop that will custom modify build one for you.
