I just had this happen for the first time today. I opened the app and it says "Unable to Activate Remote" (see pic below).

I tried to "Activate" the service following the instructions and it just sits on the "Waiting for code from app" screen. I also tried to activate using a Code with the same results.

The truck is just shy of 10 months old so the service shouldn't be expired yet.

Hit your emergency button on the top dome light console. Options will get some help from the people that run the service. Button does not automatically dial 911 it's there for assistance and will walk you through it.

This was a REALLY bad idea. I hit the button and it gave me three options, including Enrollment Services. I stated I wanted "Enrollment Services" and the next thing I heard was the Emergency Responders talking with someone at the Toyota center stating there was a silver Tundra in need of help. I was NOT going to try it again, so i guess I will just live with out the connected services...

if i remember correctly when i had to do this same procedure to renew (i had the same issue as you and had to call sos CS), you have to listen to the verbal commands the SOS button gives, 1st part asks if you want to contact EMS, if you dont respond it goes to toyota customer service.

This is exactly what I did. The first question is something like, "Do you need emergency services?". I said no and it came up with a menu of options for roadside assistance, enrollment services, and something else. I am not sure how it went back to EMS. I am afraid to try it again!

I had a similar issue with my Sequoia. I could not get the app to activate after my trial period was over and also could not get the QR code to show up, like you mentioned.

I was able to resolve it by calling Toyota ( https://www.toyota.com/support/contact-us/ ) at this number: 1-800-331-4331

At the automated prompt I told them I needed help with connected services. The person they transferred me to was able to get it to connect. Interestingly, he did have me push the SOS button, say “No” to needing emergency help and then say that I needed help with enrollment or connected services, I don’t remember exactly, but it was obvious from the list of choices. When I pushed the SOS button it of course disconnected me from the phone call with the Toyota help center, but he called me back to make sure it was resolved.

Reset the radio and it will give you the code to repair to your app.

Resetting worked, thank you! It took about 15 minutes total, including fixing my custom vehicle settings, etc.

Question: When the trail ends for connected services, is there any use for the Toyota App? What will it give you if you don't continue to pay for the subscription?
