Is the BAmBomb Exhaust Tip just for looks or does it add anything to the system? Leaning towards pulling the trigger on a 12” system and was debating on adding the tip to the cart as well.

Yeah, after seeing those 12" sound clips I'm probably going that route now.
I'm an old man at heart. :D

I’ll blame my lack of understanding on my caffeine level, but can you explain the need for a portion of a stock tailpipe? I figured your systems were complete, but is that not the case for the 12”?

I'll take a crack at it.
Maybe the DD standard systems don't bolt up to the factory TRD Pro?

They are ‘complete’. Our systems intention is to replace the stock muffler. And they do just that. We don’t replace the stock tailpipe. The tundra comes with a 2 3/4” stainless steel mandrel bent tailpipe. If we replaced that it would be with a stainless steel mandrel bent 2 3/4” piece of pipe as that is the perfect size.

Problem is 2 3/4” is very rare since only a tundra uses that size. Rather than reinvent the wheel we make our system able to bolt up to the stock tailpipe.

if you don’t already have one our first suggestion is to buy or trade a good used tailpipe. If that’s not an option then the retail price at the dealer is typically around $250, which is a great price for a stainless steel mandrel bent 2 3/4” tailpipe that bolts right onto your truck. We can’t buy the parts to make one for that cheap.

We actually make a system that uses trd tailpipes. It is very very similar to the trd system. Except we fixed what we feel are shortcomings. First, there needs to be an x pipe in an American firing order v8 since it fires uneven. Second there needs to be something to control the drone, that’s why our trd rep comes with Helmholtz resonators. And third, while we are at it, we make the mufflers custom. As big or small as you want so your truck is as loud or as quiet as you want. One size does not fit all;)

That said, if running stock exhaust manifolds, even with all of the benefits of our trd rep system, our single standard systems give you better low end torque. Better throttle response. Better acceleration. Our trucks want a single exhaust with stock manifolds.

The only time I sell a trd rep on purpose to a guy with stock manifolds is if they have a trd pro. Our trd rep system allows them to keep the trd tailpipes but because of the x pipe they get better low end torque and it completely eliminates the ‘helicopter sound’ (google search trd exhaust helicopter sound)

The Helmholtz resonators kills the drone. And again, it might as well be more aggressive or less depending on what they want.

Okay, so the tailpipe is the final length of pipe from the muffler back to where it exits the side of the truck. I get it now…my TRD system won’t work with a standard DD system.

Correct. That said, our trd rep is a huge upgrade to the trd mufflers. But going back to a single tailpipe that is 2 3/4” provides the absolute best drive ability.

A dirty deeds group buy?! Keith is the real MVP!

I’ll tell you this, I’ve run 3 different Dirty Deeds systems…

I started with the 8” stainless, then went to 6” stainless, and now I’m running the TRD Replacement system with custom Dirty Deeds Midpipes and JBA headers, and she SCREAMS!

Let me see if I can find a way to upload a video of my current system, because it’s a monster.

and back in my day, we had to pay extra for stainless. Props to Keith for streamlining the process and dropping the aluminized system. Just makes it easier on everyone!

Does this work to show my TRD Replacement system?

I know I’m a wank and barely got on it… but I might record another one if y’all really want to hear it scream.
