x2 on the bold. After over a week of shipping suspense, joys of living in AK, my 10" arrived yesterday and I got it installed last night w/out the resonator. I had to resort to cutting all but one of the bolts to include cutting the clamp bolt.

Fortunately the buddy I had helping me had an amazing tool drawer of random nuts and bolts and we didn't have to make a special trip to Lowes.

Initial start-up definitely noticable, sitting idle hardly, when the foot is on the gas it is definetly there. I was worried by a lot of others comments that they thought the 10" and even the 8" was too quiet. My guess is they left their radio on too loud...I opted for the 10", based on Keith's rec, since I will be pulling a TT during the summer months and don't want the death stare/comments from the wife. I have a feeling she is going to think its still too much! On my way home last night I set my cruise at 65~ and definitely noticed a drone, with the radio on the drone is hardly noticable. I will give it some more time before opting for the resonator.

So I got the exhaust on finally but I have gaps at the front flanges before the mufflers and is causing a leak. What's the easiest fix for this?

I would just take a quick trip to your local muffler shop. With everything being in-place already, they should be able to slide the exhaust back far enough on the hangars, cut out the bad parts, and weld a new flange on for you.

Mine also that that problem but i welded two new flanges. And still got some gaps maybe not like yours but with alot rtv sealing it up wait 24 hrs and drive it. Until you have time to bring it to a muffler shop. Thats if you dont have the tools to weld a flange real quick.

    HOLY SHIT!
Just put my 8” system on and loving it.

    As described:
Quiet at idle and parked but give it a little and what a nice low clean rumble. Get on it and it screams. Perfect for a dad with a 5 yr daughter.
Not sure if I’ll put the resonator on, as others have said gonna give it a little to see if the drone is bothersome. Not sure if “break in “ is real but if it gets better... wow.
Thanks Keith @dirtydeeds and thank you to this forum for a smoking deal. SPG up and MPG down.

Didn't think I needed a resonator on my 10" either but after a few days, it got louder and will be installing the resonator soon lol

Will cutting the new exhaust flange void warranty?

Ran for a week without a resonator (8" system). Sounded mean but the drone was killing me. Installed the resonator yesterday and DAMN!!!! Now this thing purrs at idle, drone is 100% gone, and when you get on it the growl comes right out. Only draw back I have at this point is I can't keep my foot off the gas :) This exhaust is a must have mod in my opinion. Makes driving that much more fun.

Thanks for continuing to service the community Keith! Glad I was able to get in on this one.

Keith collected some of my candy yesterday. I whiffed the group buy but was able to get in on the free shipping / $75 off that ran through Halloween. 10" system hopefully here by first week of December :)

Been a few days now and I’m definitely installing the resonator, there’s way to much cabin noise. A ton of drone. It became very annoying yesterday. I rechecked all the connections to make sure everything was good. Hoping the resi does the trick.

It will. You’ll be surprised how much it quiets the interior.

Will do. Just installed mine a few minutes ago. So far just started it up and pulled out of garage. Going for a drive in a bit and we’ll see.

Yep I’d say do it. Wayyyy better. Drone is gone. Makes the system complete. 100% satisfied now. Should have done this from the start.
My wife asked what changed and it’s way better In cab. :)
Btw I left the tailpipe installed and did the complete resi install. WD-40, sharp metal hole saw and slow motor speed.

Perfect...thanks for explaining how you did it!

Also, how close to the spare did you go?

    Yep
Hard to explain, 3 or 4 inches above. Used a level to make sure I had a pitch. Maybe 1-1.5” off the tire. Enough room to clear the rear end and the spare, is that makes sense. I can take some pics tomorrow.

Sounds good. I have the stock spare but was going to match my 33” tires eventually so I gotta figure out how close I can get. Not even sure if 33” will fit the spare spot lol
