I know lots of members have DD exhausts, and are watching this thread, so I am posting here instead of creating a new thread. If I should take this one out and do a new one, please let me know.

For those of you that already have a DD system: Did you notice any change over time with it, or any kind of difference after "break in"? If you answer this, please list the system you have, how long you've had it, and what you've experienced. Thanks in advance. ^_^

I had the 12 inch for about 6 months before trading to the 8 inch which I had for about 6 months before trading the truck in.

Interesting, the 12 started out louder on the inside and quieter on the outside and got quieter on the inside and louder on the outside as it broke in.

The 8 was very quiet initially, but got very throaty and deep toned both in/out with few hundred miles.

Keith and I had that very conversation. I will probably start a lubing the bolts a few days before installation. The underside of my truck looks nothing like the ones in the pictures.

Thinking about getting the standard 8” system. Curious what is the pros and cons of choosing aluminized steel vs stainless ?

Am I getting this right that a standard 8 system is $749 - $75 off the top then $2 off for each order after so something like $160 more off so far?

I can get this deal for $514ish or less ?!?
Sounds like a god damn good deal.

yep you are right, it's a great deal. I'm in the great country of Texas, went with aluminized. We don't have ice problems/road salt here and I'm sure it won't rust.

I live in the Mid South. Talking with Keith, I have a short drive to work. He said the short drive does not allow time for the water vapor to burn off. He said it would sit in the pipe and eventually rust out the aluminum pipes. Because of this, I went with the stainless 10".

I’m about 5 mins from the ocean! Spend a lot of time in the sand and beach from g-town to corpus. I’ve never had a rust problem with any of my Toyota’s. Had a Tacoma from 1998-2012. FJ from 2012-2019. Just got a Tundra, hope I have the same luck!!!

:fingerscrossed:Can someone with a 10” system do a full review please!!!

Is it louder than stock at idle, accel, cruising?

Is the tone as deep as the 8”?

If you search through this thread, there is a video comparison of the factory start up vs. the DD 10".

    Thanks!

I read the whole thread last night. I was just wondering if someone can provide firsthand feedback. To me, videos never do justice to sounds 100%.

    Anyone out there???

@TrdLtd26 someone just posted some videos and review the DD 10 system in the "performance and tuning" section.

FWIW, when I spoke to Keith I believe he said that Tundra exhaust is stainless from the factory. I could have misheard him. I was not planning on going stainless, but that point changed my mind. Just throwing it out there.

Ahhh not sure which one to go with, the 8" or the 10". I definitely am not a fan of drone, since I came from a Mustang GT with an extremely loud cat-back system. I don't foresee myself doing a ton of towing, but I have towed a buddies car on a trailer before.

Is it another $100 off if I don’t want the resonator? @dirtydeeds

    Finally pulled the trigger!

    77th ish 4th wave!

Anyone else on the fence, Jump off!

Just spoke to Keith, he’s exactly what everyone says he is, friendly and informative!

I was between the 10 and 8. He basically explained that they are very similar during light accel and cruising. The difference is towing and WOT.

10 seems to be for towing and 8 is louder under WOT.

    Thanks Keith!

CHOO CHOO! All aboard the DirtyDeeds Exhuast train!

Number 78ish, Keith figured that we'd be over the 80 mark by the end of the day. 8" stainless without a resonator, can't wait.

Just got my order in boys! 8” Stainless with resonator. Keith was amazing to talk to and had great insight. Let’s get this over 100 by weeks end. I asked about number and he stated he’s been 300+ miles today and taken a decent amount of orders. Said I was 80 if not over.

So is the only benefit of stainless resistance to corrosion? I have read over the subject on various sites and from what I've gathered that is the main difference. I went with aluminized to being in North Texas but with the price I'm leaning toward just calling and having mine switched to stainless even if it will never need the anti corrosion benefits where I live. Am I missing something between stainless and aluminized or over simplifying it?

Keith mentioned the stainless will last the life of the truck while aluminized anywhere from 5-15 years.

Ya I'll probably just switch to stainless tomorrow. Too good a deal not to just get the extra piece of mind.

I asked Keith about this. I live in Southern California and he said as long as you’re not in a place where it snows and they salt the roads, Aluminized should last the life of the vehicle.
