I did have a small set back today. The good news is it was just a brake line.

    Alright, me being cheap again.

I KNOW I should go stainless, as I leave in NE Washington where we get winters and have de-icers on the road. Could I get by with aluminized if I sprayed the exhaust with a high-temp exhaust paint, or something similar to seal it? I personally wouldn't mind having an all black exhaust either so there's that

You could.... and then you would have to buy another aluminized in a few years. Or you could buy stainless and buy once, and cry once. :D

All his exhausts are sprayed with high temp paint, so whether you get stainless or aluminized (which don’t get aluminized), it will be painted black.

I got my order in today. #44. Keith spent nearly 20 minutes on the phone answering my questions and talking about how I use the truck (and how he uses his) to make sure I wasn't overlooking anything when ordering parts. 10" exhaust, 6112s and 5160s inbound. Thanks Keith!

Anybody have the budget system? Is it to loud? I've already purchased it. I think I'm in the 1st 10 on the group buy.

After all the researching and listening to other muffler systems, I kept coming back to Dirtydeeds. An unique sound that nobody else has. Come on down off that fence and save us all an extra $2. Good luck on your research.

I know this isnt budget system related but i thought i would share. I have yet to hear a DD exhaust in person, but I spoke to keith the other day because i was worried about the 8in being too quiet. I was specifically worried about it sounding different at WOT/ over 3k rpm. Keith assured me that the difference between the 8 and 6 is negligible at WOT/above 3k rpm. So i stuck with the 8. I want the deep rumble at idle and cruising around, but really want that mean sound when i get on it.

Keith also makes a 12 inch standard system (which I have experience with). Not sure if that's part of the group buy.

I had it on a previous Tundra so I don't have it anymore. I never made a video, but I posted a link below of another member who has video of his 12 inch system. Scroll down to #763.

I really liked the 12 inch system, but I also prefer a quieter exhaust. With the resonator installed, the interior sound is not much louder than stock, but the tone is deeper. Under heavier acceleration, you hear a little bit of growl, but it levels off around 3000 rpms. The exterior sound was surprisingly louder than what you heard inside, but not in a bad way. The best way too describe the exterior sound is crisp. It's not real throaty or raspy - just has a nice v8 sound.
