Yeah that would solve the issue, friend of my went that way but with 35s.
Reason I want to run 17s is that the tire and wheels I want are only in 17. Overall the tire selection of 37s x 18 is quite limited compared to 17s and 20s

Also 37s on 18s are a lot more expensive current Discount Tire prices
    37x12.5r17 BFG KM3 $384 Grabber X3 $352
    37x12.5r18 BFG KM3 $481 Grabber X3 $516

    I run a 5 tire rotation so DAMN a lot more $$$

Such a sweet rig. I love the Prinsu rack. I've wanted one forever but it just won't fit with my Alu-cab RTT without pushing it too far back off the canopy :(

Any of you guys know if clearing 37’s on 2 Gen Sequoias is essentially the same for the front? I know the back is a different story, like I might have to limit up travel or something. My Tundra never came in and I don’t think it will at this point so I’m looking at other stuff. Already have DK UCA’s and front bumper. There’s some other advantages to the Sequoia that works for me, like fitting in my garage, and I can sleep in it.

Setup will probably be Kings and 18mm offset 17’s.

I picked up my truck yesterday from getting 5.29's and a grip pro limited slip installed. Decided to trailer it home instead of turning a 3 hour drive into a 6 hour drive breaking it in. Just a quick drive felt much better with the new gears.

I don’t think the sequoia would be any different. All front end components are interchangeable, so should be the same.. my only concern would be that the OEM front bumper is all one piece, so you will have to hack it to fit an aftermarket bumper on there which is definitely a must for fitting 37s nicely. Shouldn't be too difficult to cut though, I have seen multiple people do to.

I wanted more clearance of my coachbuilder steering arm end link / Heims. I test fit a 17" +15 offset wheel and my end links were pretty much rubbing on the tire.
with my calculations based on my current wheels (20") and swapping to 17" wheels that 0 offset would likely work, but that -10 would definitely clear all suspension components.

That said, turns out I made a small mistake in my conversion of offset to backspacing and the 0 offset would have likely been a slightly better choice.
I like a wide stance so I'm fine with the -10. I have a top Heavy truck so a wider stance is a good thing. The tires stick out maybe 1/3" more than they did with my previous setup 37s on 20 x 10 -12 offset

With brand new M/T tires I am getting rub on rear fender well (even with BMC) but this is due to mechanic not giving me more caster (Move wheel forward) when I upgraded to Icon UCAs (I never rubbed with my LR UCAs)

A lot of people, myself included, have trouble getting the preferred 0* caster with Icon tubular UCAs. It's also pretty much impossible to get much more than 3* caster. Ideally, with 37s, you're gonna want 4-5* or more. If you have their heimed UCAs you'll be able to get there.

OK thanks! I used to have the Light Racing / SPCs and had Plenty of caster adjustment to get clearance with 37s that stuck out just as far as these wheels.

When I had my Icon Billet Delta Joint UCAs installed, the shop didn't adjust for enough caster compared to what I had with my LR UCAs. I had rubbing before the new wheels, just more now with 10/32nds more tread!

:fingerscrossed: With the heims on the billet UCAs they will be able to get enough caster to stop the rub

I'm really liking the KNP offroad in bronze color +10 offset. Has that SCS F5 flair and since scs not making the f5 for tundras I might grab the kansei. Plus they are down the street from me. Let us know long term longevity of those rims.

Yeah, love these wheels. They are a lot like the SCS indeed. They are also just like my FN 5-start that I had on my 4Runner, but they were 16's. Another thread where they are pulling together people to have FN wheels make a production run of 17s for Tundras of the two popular styles the 5-star and 6-shooter. Looks like they will be +18 or +25 I think, which for me won't clear my suspension, plus not ready to order until late spring or so (date TBD). I couldn't wait any longer and found the Kansei.

Happy so far, but only on day 2 haha, I will keep posted

Well, I had 285/75/18's installed for about 3 weeks. I was trying to convince myself that I liked them, but they were just to small and skinny.

Went back to Discount Tire and said I made a mistake. They originally said they couldn't help me, but after some arguing, they agreed to refund me for the tires and put the cost towards a set of 37's.

They tried to discourage me and said there was no way 37's would fit a Tundra with a 3" lift. I told them to leave me alone. I did an aggressive BMC and trimmed the front fender. I am on stock UCA's and have Toytec Alumas 2.5's up front. No rubbing.

Lesson learned....just go big and you wont regret it. Went with Nitto Terra Grappler G2sIMG_9576.jpg

I did a very similar thing two years ago with 35" KO2s that lasted a month on my truck before going back to DT. They were just too small, and I hadn't even leveled the front end yet. The guys at DT tried the same argument with me when I told them I wanted 37s. I just said if they rub, I'll cut some more. I have not regretted one mile of that decision :fistbump:

Edit: nice looking truck btw. Love the color, and the cap is just the icing on the cake

Does anyone run resi's with a +25 offset? Any clearance issues? Perhaps placement of the resi is key.

Is that the AT Summit? And what leaf springs are you running? I about to purchase the Summit and do my suspension upgrade right before its finished being built.

It's the AT Atlas. I am running custom Deavers, but I would suggest getting the camper and weighing the truck before you order so you know exactly what you need.
