Definitely not the first to do this. Reading through this thread definitely helped me get to where I am. Lots of trimming and detail to alignment goes to play.

I assume @so_juanderful your lift height is 4” or so?

@Jman245 if you’re not going to off road hard and send the front wheels to full bump, you can clear the fender and body mount side to side.
It’s the upper edge of the fender that will get hit by the tire at full stuff. Here we are fully tucked on 37x13.5 with stock fenders. If those had been 0 offset instead of +25, the fender would be a taco shell in this pic.

As it was we accordioned the inner plastic out on that hit.

I’m at 3.5” lift front and 2.75” rear. 37x12.50 at 0 offset. There’s really no place where I live that I could off-road at high speeds.

Kevin, what is your thought on 18x9 wheels with +18 offset? I would like to run 37x12.5. Currently on 2.5/1 lift, but will bump it up to 3/1.5 if needed.

should be fine with a 12.5 wide tire. I don’t think a 13.5 would make it. You’ll need to get pretty aggressive on the body mount chop, but that’s about it, as far as the difference of a quarter inch less offset.

I am looking to go 40s with bds 7”. I know it can be done with trimming and bmc. I believe the pandra did it with 40x14.50 and 20x9 with an 18 offset and I saw he is running it at 5” of lift. I am about to order the wheels but not sure if I can go with a more aggressive offset like 20x9 -12 offset or stick with 18. All info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I wouldn't go into the negative offset. I'm running the bds 7 with -18 tried to fit 38s 13.5 20. It was a nightmare had to turn up the fox coils and add a coachbuilder shim so now at 8.75 ish total front lift and still rub a bit at full lock going over deep ruts and what not. But good luck!

I think that's the first I've heard of a U-bolt flip kit for the 2nd/3rd gens. What's the reason they're not as popular as say on Tacos? I see them all the time on those builds. Awesome setup btw! Such a good stance.

I mangled the crap out of my previous u-bolts doing some serious rock crawling. The flip kit gives the rear 2-3 inches of clearance from where the u-bolts used to hang. Also gives me the peace of mind that my leaf springs are less likely to come undone while on the trail.

About to order some new tires as my 37s are starting to get wore down has anyone gone from 12.5 wide to 13.5 wide on the toyo mts?
Considering due to the 10 ply rating. I've been pleased with my 12.5s and have gotten decent mileage out of this set

I roll on 37x13.5 STT Pros on 17x8.5" wheels. Very happy with them. I air down to 12-15# and have not slipped a bead. I think the bead is actually tighter - can't prove it though. Tires stick out more - more tire, more traction.

Check that your brake line isn't rubbing against your leaf springs. Looks like it may be. Today I found out both sides of mine have been interfering with the leaf springs after 5000 miles with 1.5" blocks. Did a search and a lot of other Tundra guys noticed it after lifting and some even wore through the rubber jacket. Have to bend the bracket to move it out of the way.

I use a plastic spiral cover over the brake lines. Has protected the lines for 45k and no wear. I also bent the bracket out of the way as well. I've since chopped the u-bolt heads shorter, closer to the nut.
