Well with my 35”s I have a aftermark rear bumper so I was good back there no rubbing. In front I cut the shit out of my front OEM bumper you honestly can’t even tell lol. Going to eventually get an aftermarket front. I have a 5” zone lift.

    37s and 4” lift
I’ve got 2” spacers upfront which helps SOME. I’ve done BMCs before on my FJ so I felt comfortable doing it myself plus I work in the auto industry so I feel somewhat safe doing it.

I’m running a 4” lift and 37 13.50x18. The tires fit but it is tight. After the BMC, I still get slight rub at full lock. If the 37s have taught me anything is I feel I need a bigger lift. Guess that’s next...again ‍♂️

Lol yes. I ran 12.50 for over 40k miles with zero issues. Asked some folks who have been in the off-road tire trade for a while and decided to try 13.50. The ballooning wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it’d be. I don’t do any serious wheeling outside of when I go hunting. Ordering some methods when I throw on the new lift kit.

Sorry, haven't been on in a while. I usually quote two prime offsets to match the widely available rim widths of 8.5" and 9" - those offsets are +18 and +25. You recognize the way the math works, so that's why I always put the two different prime offsets.

Yes, we're on 17x8.5 with an effective -5 offset after the beadlocks were added to the zero offset wheels, and on about 2-2.5" of front lift. Low, lean and mean. This does require fiberglass fenders or a healthy disregard for your stock sheet metal - at least it does if you're going off road with this setup.

Staying that low with high offset requires an adjustable UCA. We like the Icon because it's on-truck adjustable and easy to dial in after you lock the LCA all the way forward.

    1. Thrust LCA all the way forward using eccentrics and lock those fuckers down gudentite
    2. Perform alignment with the UCA heims, keeping a careful balance between staying off the body mount at full stuff and lock, and getting into the tie rod with the coilover perch at full lock (we have Icon 3.0, so they're a little wide)
    3. You're going to end up around 3.5-4 degrees of caster, which is a lively steering wheel to play with on the road, but still good enough to center at highway speeds (bonus - in rock crawling situations, turning the wheel in a rock face is easier with lower caster than with the 7+ fuckin degrees some people suggest. You know who you are, and you know I still love you).

The rise in the fiberglass makes it look like it has more lift, but it doesn’t.

Thank you for this G, I went full psycho and go -15 offset rim with 13.5 wide fuel gripper Mts on stock suspension haha and could not understand how to make it work. did not know you could adjust caster on LCA

I just got a set of 35's for mine because I didn't want to hack too much on my brand new truck.

    That said...

For those who have gone from 35 to 37" tires... how drastic was the difference in performance and everyday driving experience ?

I realize it's only 1" of actual clearance lost, but that's alot when things are already pretty close to rubbing.

I just went with 37” on a 6” lift after running 34” tires for a year or so, I was expecting a more dramatic difference than how it actually rides, including acceleration, a lot depends on the tires and how aggressive of a pattern-you run also the backspacing on the wheels

Ive got Method 18x9/+25 wheels and 35x12.5 Nitto Terra Grapplers.

Nitto makes the exact same tire in a 37x12.5 so that is most likely what I would do.

Anyone having random pooping sounds when turning? No skids or swaybars but I would have it when I first start the truck and turn almost to full lock when driving out of the lot. But after driving for 5mins, the pops go away. Checked and have no rubbing at all. Just started having it a week ago. It would sound like 2-3 pops then go away.
