Is there a story behind the colored wheels?

I notice most folks in here are running AT’s, or Hybrid-type vs Mud Terrains.
Is it because the MT’s are larger and heavier?
When I moved from 35” Toyo AT’s to 35” Trail Grapplers I definitely noticed a difference in performance on road. There was a 15 lb difference in the same size tire from AT to MT, which is crazy.

I just checked the weight of a BFG MT KM3 as someone mentioned they are lighter, and sure as shit a 37” BFG MT KM3 is nearly 6 lbs lighter than a 35” Trail Grappler I’m running. WTF!?!
That makes me reallly think about my next tire purchase.
And if the 37” BFG measures a little small, that’s even better lol.

There are some kick-ass rigs in this thread!!!!

Doesn't have to be fancy. Our trucks are so photogenic to begin with, 37s just make them even more!

I've spent so much time gawking at my truck and the ones in this thread, I'm to the point where anything smaller on them looks like this

Yeah supposedly the BFG's are like .5 off... so the 37's are like 36.5 and of course "not true 37s". But honestly for me I don't give a sh*t what others keep saying or always bragging about a 0.5" difference.

I was taught in school that once it's 0.5 you round that sh*t up to the next number anyways haha! The other thing is I get these KM3's for cheap so I'm not gonna complain about a "ooh it's not a true 37" lol

Yeah the rims are temporary until I buy some. So I held a poll on the forum what color to paint them for a laugh.

I’m getting my 5.29s installed at the moment and shopping for 37s. I am really interested in the KM3s and don’t care that they are not true 37s if the performance is there off-road. With that being said. Where are you getting them for cheap cause they are 400 plus for 37x12.5r18s? If you don’t mind me asking. I’m hoping that there might be a 4th of July sale on them somewhere, but that might be wishful thinking.

Yup I had the Toyo MTs in 35s as well, exactly same review. Great tires, but very heavy

My brother works at a tire shop :D but 400+ for 37s in 18 sounds about normal.

    Discount Tire will price match.
So I just decided on the exact tire a I wanted and searched the internet for the lowest price. Saved the link and showed discount tire.
They matched it, and even lowered the price to compensate for no tax. Plus they have their standard prorated warranty and lifetime free rotation.

Walmart.com is running a special on Toyos. They had 37x12.5x17s for $277 plus tax.

Big price difference between the 17s and 18s. I’m on 18s. 474 per tire is steep compared to the ridge grapplers for 401 and Toyo mt for 432 but in 13.5. Oh well. I guess it is what it is. I’ll try discount tire route after the 4th.

I am right now set at 3.5" with 700lb spring and stock ucas, going 37s next month. I'm running stock wheels with 2" spacers, going to go smaller spacer 1.25" or 1.5" to help clear. I also have aftermarket bumper. Also removed the swaybar

    13.5 wide tires
    Wheels were 18x9 +25
Aligned just fine. We did use the bump stop spacers that came with the BOSS coilovers to limit uptravel just a touch.

I know my next set of tires! My wheels are +25 already have the bump stop spacers in and a aftermarket bumper.. looks like all that’s needed is the bmc.
