Carrier drops are used if you have vibrations. You don’t know until you excessively have lifted the rear of the truck and feel those vibrations from a dead stop for the first few mph. Just better to not excessively lift the rear and deal with different pinion angles, shims, etc.

I have 1.25” spacers on mine to be +18, only because I run 35x.50r17. I’d remove my spacers if I went to 35x12.5 or 37x12.5.

I'm afraid if I go 37x12.5x17 +50 with RW wheels. It will rub alot

It’ll do the opposite. Given there’s a minimum offset, you can fit a 37” tire easier on a +50mm rock warrior wheel than a +25mm.

More offset (closer to 0) = more rub. This is true for most cases.

I thought +50 is closer to the UPC so it will rub against more things then a +25 which is about an 1" father out.

The UCA? It will clear the UCA, but won’t clear ball joint styles like JBA/SPC if I remember correctly.

There are things that can happen like rubbing the sway bar or skid plates with a high offset wheel and big tire. But those are manageable and usually in full lock scenarios.

With +25 or lower, then the cab mount chop / relocation have to be done.

So many variables: alignment, tire size, etc. But to answer your first question, a 37” will fit easier on a +50 or +35 than a +25, and all are better options than a +0.

Yea have icon billet UCA, and doing 8112/8100. I had read that the happy medium was +18 or +25 so you have clearance for everything. I'm doing the DRT relocation so nit worried about BMC.

New set of 37s arrived today:D
Kanati Overlander RTX 37x12.5r17, actual height is 36.7 and width is 13 so pretty close to true 37s.
Going to be replacing my old Fury R/T 37x12.5 which were also pretty close to true 37 at 36.8

Just picked up this lsk long travel tundra and it came with this set up that I’d like to change to 17/18 and 37s. Need to calibrate the Speedo for sure. It seems most long travel guys are in the 0 range or slightly negative? First Toyota so learning from this thread and few others

I’ve got some maintenance to due before I do anything. Things feel a little loose and making noise. Going to check everything with the torque wrench and check for play. Once I feel this thing is at 100% I’ll start changing things.

I have liked all the kanati's I've run so far. I actually just ordered some of the terra commander rtx tires today for my wife's new car, aka my new project. Less than $1,400 for all 5 tires.

I've never ran Kanati tires so glad the hear the positive experience. Looking forward to getting them installed.
Got the set of 4 for 800 myself so really happy about that, not a huge hit to the wallet

I tried to save him! Lol.

In all honesty, I believe that Rey is a wealth of knowledge as he’s been exploring the limits of these trucks for a bit now.

How are they in the rain/snow? Are they pretty quiet?

I've only ran the mud hogs in the past. They aren't great in the rain or snow, but also not terrible. Mine started pretty quiet but as I beat them up they have gotten loud.
I'm hoping that the new ones in a more hybrid style will wear better and be quieter on the road. They should also be better in the rain and snow but time will tell.

Haha that's not gonna happen. My wife would kill me for doing that to her car. The 37's make the thing look ridiculous as is.
