So for me, I have a column shifter so I just pull it all the way down and I’m in S4.

Yes I agree, if you're gonna re-gear, might as well get the lockers in there at the same time. I'll eventually do it as well. Just not necessary at the moment.

I think the thing with regear and lockers is not only the cost, but the cost / pain of correction if it's not right. I was fine fooling with suspension stuff, but cracking open that front diff is no-mans land for me. Don't even bother chiming in @reywcms I already know what you're gonna say.

Hello, I'm new here and I have a question... I'm going to put the 37" in my truck and I can't decide between 4.88 or 5.29, so I want to know which is better for my case. My truck is used daily in the city and very few I sometimes tow my RZR. those that have 37x13.50r17 I would like to see some photos of their trucks

You have the right place, there are 121 pages of pictures and many use cases of stock gears, 4.88 gears, and 5.29 gears.

If you’d like to take advantage of all 6 gears in your transmission, 5.29 gears will be a better option with those 37” meats.

I’d say the exact same thing if you were on smaller 35” tires…

5.29s all day for anything over a 34” tire. I couldn’t imagine 37s with no gears, and no tune. Tundra is a dog already with more weights, it really needs the help of gears and a tune to get it going.

The perks about 5.29s and an OTT, I can do rolling burnouts lol.

5.29s. You are correcting for increased diameter, more weight, more width, more rolling resistance, being even less aerodynamic, and an aggressive tread pattern.

Old school motto "don't fear the gear."

So i'm looking to get into 37s with a 17" wheel. Is there a list somewhere of the wheels that work well with 37s? I have 0 offset method 17s right now but obviously that's not going to work well with the 37s.

Was looking into icon but wanted to know what other good looking options there are. Trying to stay around the +20ish offset area.

Truck has most of the work done to fit:
High clearance rear and front bumpers
    king 3.0s all around
    deavers
    no sway bar
    camburg uppers
    bmc

I'm going with 18" and offsets from +18 - +25 are work. Not sure if it's the same with 17" I would assume it would.

Remember, a lot of 17” wheels are 8.5” wide. The offset in not the same backspacing as a 9” wide wheel. We typically look at offset as the measurement we need, but it’s easy to forget that offset isn’t the only thing.

I've got 17" method 701's with 0 offset, and 37's, and all the extras that you do (same upgrades, different brands), and I have no problems.

A lot of variables. But yes, 1.5-2” of poke and a tougher time trimming if you want to stuff the tire. Cab mount relocation instead of chop is advised.

Interesting. From what I gathered it will fit but likely have some contact issues especially if off roading. I wouldn’t mind keeping my 0 offset wheels if it would fit ok. I like the overall look of the 0 vs a 25ish offset but I need the functionality as well.

Yeah as others said, you can make anything fit. It seems like you have already done everything that's required. Just fine tuning for your truck and your needs. I haven't had a chance to do any crazy 4x4 trails yet, but I'll be ready.:thumbsup:
