    With the new leafs did it at 2” of lift in the rear? I just installed mine with a 1” shackle and it lifted the rear to have about a 2” rake now like from factory lol do these settle at all?

    They’ll settle a bit, but I’m pretty sure I’ve got more than 2” from mine after a couple years, about 70,000 miles, with about 10K of those towing. My truck is also a fat 7,200# pig with plenty of weight on the rear.

    I probably had 4” lift in the rear when I first out the U748s in. Still a heave 2” I’m sure.

    Wish they made a spring that performed like this model, but with only 1” lift.

    yea, I have a 1” shackle, going to put in the 3/4”. But the rake is a little much haha

    My shackles are +1.5” OAL, so closer to 0.75” lift from them.
    I didn’t take accurate measurements, but it was pretty tall till the springs broke in! Sits about perfect now, with just a little rake.
    Every day, it has a canopy, Bedslide, box of tools and gear, and a 50L Dometic fridge full of beers. 100# spare tire under the bed.

    Towing my travel trailer, it’ll squat pretty hard till I get the WDH set. Then it’s nice again. My tongue weight is around 800#. The springs are legit and handle everything I have thrown at them. After they broke in and settled, they’re perfect for my use.

    sounds like you have about #600 in the bed before the tongue weight? I’m thinking about going with the u748 as well, I have about #100 pounds in the bed most of the time, and the tongue weight on my trailer is about 900# right now I have stock leaf as and +2 shackles. With my WDH set up, it sags about 1 1/2”

    These last posts are timely discussing Deavers, as I'm working out upgrading from an OME set-up to King 2.5's. I have been going back and forth between K37 or U748's . I was recommended to go with the K37's w/TC shackles for the best ride and an air bag set up for additional weight if the K37's aren't enough, I just don't like the air bags so I've been considering going with the U748's.

    I've been happy with my deavers with air bags/daystar cradles. Rides nice with 10 psi and tows great with 60ish psi

    I removed my airbags and daystar cradles. I have a retractable bed cover, 2nd battery, and a Plano trunk in my bed...probably 250-300 lb altogether. Anywhere from 5 to 15psi when empty was just super bouncy.
    Huh. Maybe my problem was running the bags/cradles with OEM Springs. I wonder if your Deavers are less bullied around by your airbags bouncing off the cradles.

    I have a canopy, roof rack, awning, spare 37 in the bed, and some recovery gear. Maybe I have enough in the back to have a nice ride. I haven't experienced any bouncy ride.

    It's not the perfect setup, but it works for me. If something happens to one of the bags I'm considering going with the Timbren HD bump stop to try something different.

    I was riding on Fox 2.5 DSC and now Bilstein 8100/8112, had Deavers u748 on both, also have firestone bags and daystar cradles (still do), and TRD sways, and 37x12.5 KO2s.

    Pros:
    - Deavers ride SMOOTH on rough roads, I love it, I'll buy it again.
    - On Bilsteins, I think I accidentally created a really well handling truck on the twisty, it amazes me how flat and smooth it handles, some may think I'm crazy, but I've spent enough time on track days and still have a BMW E30 with spec E30 suspension to have some tiny sense of what's good and not good in terms of handling.
    - It tows beautifully, I've towed at max often, and just came back from a week long trip with the travel trailer that was about 5500lbs and 300lb in bed, I didn't even need to air up.

    Cons:
    - U748 lifts the rear quite a bit, more than I'd like, from pure aesthetic point I may get K37 and run bags.

    I've had added 1" spacers up front to reduce the rake, before it was pretty wack:

    I used airbags and Daystar cradles with stock springs, which was nice for load carrying. Constantly banging the overload springs and bump stops while loaded sucked.

    Kept the bags for a little bit after putting the Deavers in, but took them off. Much nicer without. Zero need for them with my typical (heavier than a lot of you) load, and the WDH handles the TT tongue weight great.

    I have a topper, aftermarket bumper and spare 37 in the bed, my rear sits 3” higher then the front now. The rake is killing me, but you said they will settle a bit? I’m at about 300 pounds daily in the bed. Just don’t know if I should go another inch up front and help the stance of it a bit. I don’t tow.

    Put some extra weight in the rear and go rally it hard for a while. Launch off everything you can do the springs get a workout.

    Did you tighten the bolts with the truck sitting on the tires, or in the air?

    leafs are popping like crazy over bumps and stuff, but according to deaver it’s just the coating on them. But they were tightened with the truck on the ground. I might just go with a heavier spring up front to pick it back up a bit, I don’t mind a slight take to accommodate when I have a load, but 3” looks like I’m nose diving lol

    There's these little pads on each leaf, check them, apparently some folks had them came off while driving, you can re-stack them too.

    They do settle specially after some heavy use, mine settle like 1/2 inch, I still had to raise the front.

    so got my 700# springs in, picked up the front by 1.5”. My only other issue now is that me rear king 2.5 are maxed out. Smh… these u748 only caused me more problems lmfao

    No! The U748 are awesome. Just need to get them settled.

    No way in hell would I have another 2nd gen tundra with OEM springs after running these for the last 70K miles.

    Yea they run great. But I have no more upward travel in the rear with my kings. It lifted the rear end almost 4” and I’m running atleast 300# of weight in the rear at all times. I need them to settle about an inch to get me some travel back in the shock lol

    Icon suspension lift, smitybuilt front bumper, 37x12.5r17 and icon rebound 17” tires with a +25mm offset. Miscellaneous lights. And my favorite addition is the custom arm rest pad for my console.
    Long time listener, first time caller. I’ve stepped into the 37” club. Icon billet UCA with 2.5 icon lift, icon rear shocks with leaf pack, and now icon Rebound 17” wheels with 37 x 12.5. I know everyone will say “it’s not really a 37 if you’re on BFG tires” but I haven’t had to do the BMC and no rubbing.
